The best choice for those who love nature. The camp is not fenced, so the animals can roam freely, offering up-close and exciting encounters. Two daily excursions are organized, by off-road vehicle, on foot, or by boat, allowing you to admire this fantastic place from various perspectives. Sensational sunsets and sunrises Very helpful staff, professional rangers, perfect organization.

Recommended by former guests for our party of three friends for three nights, Rhino Camp proved to be a unique place that I will be raving about for a long time. In a remote location and with only seven huts, a small number of staff and owner Jenny on site, our stay was very personal. The huts are open to the breeze coming off the lake they overlooked, clean and tidy, and spaced apart enough to give privacy. A lounge area, bar and evening campfire provided alternate places to relax and each meal was delicious and fresh. The huts do not have electricity however staff can charge cameras/phones via solar power. Elephants stopped to graze right outside and impala and a hippo also visited the camp. I heartily recommend Rhino Camp for a relaxing safari experience.

We loved our 3 nights at Rhino Safari Camp. We saw a lot of game - lions, elephants, hippos, impala, kudu, warthogs, crocodiles, baboons, zebras plus tons of birds. Our guide Aswell was wonderful and sure knew a lot about the animals, plants and trees. Our room was very comfortable and the food and drinks were A+. Highly recommended.

My favorite holiday spot in Zim. Rustic and in the bush with no commercial feel and yet remains exceptionally comfortable. Fabulous food, friendly helpful staff, beautiful views and being in the african bush is its own kind of magic. Best place ever to relax and unwind

My wife and I are regular visitors to Kariba since living there in the late 1970's and normally use our own cabin cruiser to tour the lake staying on board to enjoy our fishing and enjoying seeing game on the shores . As RSC had a special rate this Christmas we decided to stay for 4 nights there. We were not disappointed and found that the hospitality from Jenny and Karl Wright, and their staff was pure 'home from home' obviously finely honed from the 20 years of experience there. There was a sense that 'nothing was too much trouble' combined with a passion for wildlife from the smallest insects, birds to the largest animals. Their staff were all particularly helpful especially the 'marine staff' which was important to us. The food was very good, varied and well presented given the location of the Camp. We enjoyed dining with other guests at the communal table. The Wrights enjoyed mingling with all the guests, introducing them to each other which made the atmosphere very easy for all to mix. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, particularly the beds, and even in the extreme heat of December we enjoyed a breeze most of the night, assisted by a solar fan. Our bathroom was also simple but functioned perfectly with a good flow of hot and cold water. The view from our chalet (7) was amazing and to wake with this view of the lake and the large area of shoreline was relaxation personified. Our fishing in the surrounding inlets of Elephant Point proved successful with easy access good and productive fishing sites, certainly comparable to other areas such as Gordons and Palm Bay. To conclude, for us in our own boat, if one is going to stay on Kariba, I would say that this is the perfect place with access to the more unspoilt side of Kariba and yet close enough from our launch site of Andora Harbour to arrive in just over an hour in decent weather.

We were regular visitors to Rhino from 2006 to 2017. This is a unique camp on Kariba Lake (and we visited most of them). We've just revisited the place. Peter and Kelly are lovely hosts. Peter is an excellent, experienced guide and his cheerful nature combined with great sense of humour makes him a unique company. We also noticed beautifully changed, though still rustic, interiors which we attribute to Kelly's artistic taste. We will be back. Ala and Jurek

Our 3 night stay at Rhino Safari Camp was a great experience. The hospitality by the camp staff was excellent with accommodation and food beyond expectation. On offer were game drives within the Matusadona National Park and boating excursions on Lake Kariba. The birding was excellent with in excess of 90 species being encountered. Game around the island included a pride of Lion and daily visits into the camp by Elephant. Both Camp Management and Guiding staff were accommodating and prepared to go the extra mile to meet our specific needs.

Pure escapism and relaxation. If you want to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of your everyday world and reconnect with nature then consider this gem as your next retreat destination! Breathtakingly beautiful sunsets and unique lake vistas, Rhino Safari Camp’s unique location and personable staff allows one to truly enjoy this African bush paradise. The wildlife in and around the camp was the highlight of our trip. The solitude of the bush walks and game drives is unmatched, making Matusadona National Park is an unforgettable place. We can’t thank Rhino Safari Camp enough for their amazing hospitality. Omar and Natasha
