Beer bottles and garbage scattered around the parking lot is never a good sign. As I walked in, I watched an employee step over / ignore a literal grocery bag of piss. I’ve never seen a grocery bag of piss before.
Stains on the bathroom wall behind the toilet (pictured), clogged shower drain, chipped and cracked tile in the bathroom, curly public hair on the floor in the corners. And this is the renovated/updated room.
This isn’t your typical Marriott, don’t expect any standards here. It’s 2025 and this hotel doesn’t have a vent fan in the bathroom so when you shower, the whole room gets muggy. It had one of those ancient wall air conditioner units you used to see in motels back in the day, and the floor around it was all sopping wet!
Ice machine was on the 4th floor, what the heck? Dudes at the front desk were untucked and sloppy, the ladies had ear buds in and were watching YouTube or something.
Coffee is $3.50 in the lobby lol, and parking at this joke of a Marriott is $16 per day in WICHITA. Not a world class city, but in Wichita, where 60% of the city is parking lots.
If you MUST stay in Old Town, Wichita, do yourself a favor and stay at The Hotel at Old Town. It’s 2 blocks away from this embarrassment to the Marriott name.

Parking right next to a dance club, NO FENCE, cars racing through the lot. Put us on the side of the hotel where the Mexican Dance club played until nearly one AM booming bass as loud as they could. NO OTHER ROOMS ON THAT SIDE OCCUPIED, place was nearly empty - could’ve given us a quiet room. We were there to visit my son who has been on life support for a week. No hospital discount, LOUSY BREAKFAST we paid $10 each for and almost didn’t get, had to get night clerk to make sure we would get it and still had to get breakfast someplace else. WORST HOTEL EVER. We Have traveled for our jobs for over 20’years and this get the SHAMEFUL AWARD. The people running it should have to listen to that crap that passes for “music”
All night every night as punishment for their rudeness and deliberately putting us on the worst side of the property while they definitely had empty rooms. Bulldoze the place!

Wasnt expecting the additional parking fee. The lot wasnt even fenced/gated. I know the hotel 2 blocks away doesnt have an extra fee for parking.

We received a “smoking charge”. There were NO smokers in our room. The manager would not return my call. When I finally was able to reach him, he said he could smell it and had to put in an ozone machine. Then I was told there was nothing he could do and to contact customer care. When contacting customer care, I was given a case number and told it was up to the property manager who said he couldn’t do anything.

This is the second time I've stayed at this property while traveling to Wichita. It is very clean, smells good, and has hotel parking that is easily accessible.
It is right at the heart of the downtown Marketplace so lots to do. It can be loud late at night due to its location. You can hear music from the nightclubs and a lot of people drag racing in the streets on the weekends. But it has never been a bother enough for me to not keep going to this location.

The A/C was out until the manager came from off shift and helped fix the outside unit. When I called to the front desk I found out our phone mic wasn't working.

Close to Wave for concerts. Have stayed here before and it was clean, quiet, and a good value for the money. Breakfast is extra but I usually go somewhere else for breakfast. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend.

We didn’t get a complimentary gift @ check in. The fridge was unplugged I plugged it in - our leftovers were wasted cuz the fridge didn’t col off.
