So I'll start from the beginning. Reserved and adjoining room with a kitchen at least 2 months in advance. I was hosting a pool party for my niece's 7 th birthday party. She was so excited this is her first year getting to actually have a party not just at home. Less than 24-hour notice we get a call that the adjoining room with kitchen is no longer available due to renovations and after some back and forth they finally were able to get a room which was less than up to par. The tiniest garbage can and the smallest amount of amenities you could have. We were then also informed the day of that their pool was also being renovated but don't worry we have a sister hotel directly behind us and you can use their pool. So whatever we went with it because they waited so late to tell us we couldn't cancel the reservation at this point. This was definitely done on purpose you cannot tell me that they did not know there was renovations until 24 hours prior. They definitely knew this ahead of time. So we prepped 15 kids as well as the 10 adults attending to walk over to a hotel that was supposedly right behind. no the hotel was not right behind it was a 10-minute walk and I'm doing that with all those children is not easy. Not only was it not the hotel directly behind because that hotel directly behind was actually hosting an adult event and when we walked in there was a half naked woman with pasties and angel wings and a drunk man getting in our face saying no kids were in there cuz they rented out the pool. So we then went to the next hotel which was the courtyard the one we were supposed to go to which we were told the pool was open that morning. Come to find out for whatever reason their pool was now closed so we had to walk all the kids back to the hotel room and my disappointed niece because now all these kids are stuck with absolutely no event to keep them busy for the rest of the night and no pool for the pool party. When we spoke to the lady at the front desk we were more than accommodating said no don't bother your general manager on the weekend they have off we'll wait and deal with it on monday. not only did he try to ignore our call or return our call on Monday I had to threaten to call corporate in order to even get them to answer the phone. So we finally get through to them on Tuesday and all they want to offer is a discount if we want to come in and pay to stay another night. Cannot even tell us what that discount is and we have yet to receive our deposit we were told we would be getting back. I am absolutely appalled with the lack of communication, the lies, and everything that was done to prevent us from getting our money back and giving my niece the pool party she wanted. I 100% do not recommend staying at this hotel and it's best you just take your money elsewhere. If I could give them a negative star review I would. First, our property does not allow birthday parties or large group events of any kind in guest rooms. Attempting to bring 15 children and 10 adults into a couple rooms is not permitted at any hotel for safety and occupancy reasons. The pool situation at our sister property was an unexpected outage, and we were notified of the closure the same day. Suggesting this was done intentionally is simply untrue. No hotel would purposefully disrupt a guest’s stay. Regarding communication, no one “ignored” your calls. Unfortunately, immediate responses are not guaranteed. Your call was returned as soon as management was available. Your incidental hold was released upon check-out; banks typically take 3–5 business days to release those funds. This timing is controlled by your financial institution, not the hotel. For your records, this does not happen right away. We are always willing to address legitimate concerns, but your review contains multiple false claims that do not reflect our policies or the actual circumstances. We apologize for your experience and hope you have a better one in the future.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Believe the reviews. The hotel is torn to pieces, and they are still renting rooms. The rooms are disgusting, furniture stained and worn and overall stench everywhere(not construction smell). Appalled that this Marriott is even accepting reservations. And they apologize, but still keep renting rooms and a facility that should be shut down, or offered for $50 a night. Just gross! Wrote Marriott and they gave me 5,000 points. That and a nickel won’t even get me a bottled water.

Staff was friendly. Room was in desperate need of renovation. Carpet was sticky and taped down in places. Overall, cleanness was lacking. Other parts of the hotel were under renovation. Unsure of why they are still renting the older rooms.

This hotel should be closed for renovations, it’s filthy and undergoing a full refit. It’s a shame that brands like this don’t see the damage they do to themselves and their guests renting rooms in filth like this.

The Lobby had scaffolding set up and plastic draped over everything. We had to enter location of room from outside and the security passage was broken. When we enter the hallway to the elevator there was drywall leaning against the wall and construction dust on the carpet. The room was very old, but clean. The bathroom tub around the edges had black mold. The air conditioner came on and there was a constant loud noise. I called the receptionist, and she said no other room was available and would try and move us in the morning. She also said the Inn was in "Dire Condition"!
No sleep that night after traveling all day
The next morning no breakfast because of the Lobby construction. I asked for a refund and was told no. We checked out and went to another hotel.
I did not check the reviews, believe in ******* and Marriott. The reviews are terrible, and this facility should have been removed for ******* website until it was within their standards!

Room had carpet stains and smoke alarm is not hooked up in living room. Vanity light doesn't work. Freezer ice maker tray not in the freezer. No chairs for the dining table. Couch has no pillows and is very uncomfortable. Will never stay at this location every again. Reminder...IM A MARRIOTT REWARDS MEMBER.

We were shocked that Marriott would attached their name to a place this bad. The outside door's "safety" mechanism was broken, so anyone could come in anytime. The rug in our room was filthy; the couch was worn out and greasy. Both should have been replaced years ago. We refused to stay.

I'm Marriott titanium and have stayed at well over 1000 Marriott properties. I feel compelled to leave this review so others don't make the same mistake I did last week. I booked the property assuming it would be a typical Residence Inn. It is in grave disrepair. I checked in, the elevator was broken, the halls smelled of urine, my carpet was stained everywhere, the furniture was ripped, and the smoke detector was missing and wires hanging from the wall, had I stayed longer I'm sure I'd have found more issues. Kudos to the two women at the front desk who were outstanding and should be commended for their customer service. I simply told them I wasn't going to be able to stay (refund or not) they simply said "we understand" and cancelled my reservation. Know that keeping this open pre-remodel is going to damage your brand and reputation beyond repair. A loyal Marriott Elite.
