First off, this is no longer a Holiday Inn, but is called Pearl Street Hotel and Suites. OK, parking is an issue, especially on the weekends. There is a public lot that connects to the hotel, but you have to register your vehicle at the front desk, or you will get a parking ticket($25.00) . About the hotel, downtown location. so lots of noise during college season. Rooms are ok. Kinda beat up, with fixed drywall compound and paint. House keeping doesn't clean to well under such furniture, with dirty used food take out boxes and found a prescription pill. Bathroom shower had bad drainage, with ankle deep water when showering. Had to take drain plug out. Motorcycle noise till 2:00AM, so bring some ear plugs. Beds were comfy and had coffee keurig and nice big refrigerator with microwave. No continental breakfast...Please visit the Pearl Ice Cream shop nearby.

I booked a 1-night stay At Pearl Street Hotel. We've stayed there several days over a 20-year period and was very happy when Holiday Inn company owned it. Now that it's changed ownership, no pool, no restaurant or bar. Upon check in after a long day I had to call the front desk to see if somebody could get the TV working. The mini fridge didn't work, mold in the Bathroom in places. Small things out of place add up. They promise to make this a 5-star Hotel, we'll see. We probably won't be back, which is disappointing as this is/was our favorite place to stay In Lacrosse.

My husband and I stayed here July 3rd - 5th, 2025 in room #215. It was a good experience overall! THE GOOD: 5 min. walk to bars/restaurants, A/C works, view of fireworks, free parking/internet, microwave, fridge. NOT SO GOOD: needs a deep clean, very dusty, tiles in the bathroom are loose, used washcloth in shower, no vending machines.

The Pearl Street Hotel's great location is sadly being wasted under the new ownership. The room had a small TV and no refrigerator. I found hair in the shower, clearly not cleaned well. The pool and hot tub are now completely closed, which was a huge letdown. The bar was also shut down. This place seems to have lost any charm it may have previously had. Definitely not worth the price versus other options in same area.

Room was expensive. Could not use pool, bar closed, ice machine out of order. Bath tub was clogged so only one person could shower (unless you want your feet and ankles in someone else's dirty water). Door looked like the police had to bust in the room. Room key did not work on outside door.

This hotel is no longer a Holiday Inn. It is now the TaronB, which is not shown online. Everything is still “labeled” as a Holiday Inn. The upside is that the room was reasonably priced, yet there are some deficiencies that need to be addressed if they are going to become competitive. The hotel looks “tired”; doors to rooms need repainting and the rooms need a good deep cleaning. We found a half case of beer in the cupboard of the kitchenette; the soap dispenser in the shower was empty and there was no restaurant or bar—-it was closed the entire time of our stay. Mediocre at best and at the point where it will ultimately fail due to the myriad of choices in the near vicinity that are much nicer; albeit slightly more expensive. Also, there is no breakfast availability onsite.

酒店回复: Dear gregjm, Thank you for selecting our Holiday Inn & Suites La Crosse - Downtown while visiting La Crosse and for providing feedback about your experience. It's a pleasure having you as our guest. I am truly sorry you did not experience an exemplary stay due to our room's maintenance, our breakfast and our closed restaurant. This is certainly below our usual high standard of service. Please be certain that I have noted and forwarded your feedback for the management to improve. In the middle of your experience, I am glad the hotel's location was still appreciated. Please grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again. Best Regards, Ben W. We have stayed at this hotel many times so I booked it again in February for our anniversary motorcycle trip in August. In May I received an email saying my reservation was cancelled. No explanation. After several calls trying to figure out what’s going on I was told they no longer participate in IHG rewards so they canceled it. I said why didn’t you call and give me an option to pay, which would have ben the right thing to do for a long time customer, no answer. I said well, let’s make a be reservation, can’t, they are now booked solid and no rooms available. So clearly what they did was have someone who was willing to pay more so they cancelled my room. What a crappy way to treat a repeat customer. Our summer anniversary bike trip is now screwed that’s to their lousy customer service. I emailed and left messages for the GM, didn’t the courage or decency to respond, wow! This has become a poorly run hotel that only cares about making as much money as they can and not at about dedicated customers.

We have been staying at this hotel for almost 10 years each year with our wrestling team. Last year it was a nightmare trying to get our block of rooms booked. Tried emailing many many times, called many many times, no one would ever call me back! Last year ended up having to go through corporate office just to get our block of rooms. Tried again for our rooms this year, have been trying to work on this since January. Again, no one calls me back, have to keep calling, only to find out today that we have no rooms. Now it is April and we have no place for our wrestling team or family to stay at, after years of having been staying here. Not sure what else I could have done differently, called, emailed, etc.! Manager has never once ever called me back or emailed me back. Front Desk people have tried, but their hands are tied if management is overruling them. Very disappointed after having stayed at this hotel for years and years!!

I was in town for a business conference and the hotel we were supposed to stay at did not meet our expectations for mattress cleanliness. This was the closest hotel to the original one, so we checked it out. We walked in and could smell cleaning chemicals, which was a positive thing! We spoke to Dylan at the front desk who was very transparent with answers to all of our questions regarding their cleaning practices. It was very refreshing as we did not have that at the other hotel. We decided to reserve a room for the night. We checked in and inspected the mattresses as we always do as precaution, and they looked brand new! Not a speck of dirt, no stains, and most importantly no indications of bugs. This hotel did have its own set of issues. There was a hair in the shower prior to us using it and a piece of used dental floss on the floor between the vanity and wall. However, I will take that anyday for the piece of mind knowing I won't be bringing any bugs home with me. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would stay here again.

What an infuriating and disappointing experience I had here this week. I've stayed many times over the last few years. Always fine. Not great, but plenty good enough. Until TODAY. Pulled in last night about 6pm and parked in the front lot that has signage about only hotel guests allowed to park, etc. All good. Checked in. Walked to dinner and then eventually back for the night. Worked in the room this morning and checked out a little after 11am. Walked out to my vehicle and put my bag in it, and then walked about 1 minute away for lunch. Came back less than an hour later...and they had had my vehicle TOWED! Unreal. Went in and asked the EXACT girl who had checked me out an hour or so before. Whaaaaa??!! Some guy comes out and then goes back in the office and comes back and tells me "oh, you left the lot and came back". NO I did not! H literally LIED to my face about that. Never left after pulling in the night before. Unreal. No help. No calling the tow company and saying "We made a mistake. Please release this vehicle". NOTHING. Plus, he said "have a nice day" sarcastically as I was walking out. Incredible. Lost my temper and left. Called the tow company and explained the RIDICULOUS situation. They sent someone for me (since the were three miles away) and actually reduced the tow price by $100...and it was STILL $175.00! Which is also ridiculous that a tow and storage for about an hour would normally be $275! Either way...obviously I will NEVER stay here again. Ever. My company has had folks stay here a few nights a month for years. Never again. So unacceptable. If I could give the level of service a zero I would. SO not recommended.
