We went in the off season (over New Years) and found the place a great location for family and kids. Multiple pools (heated), hot tub, on the beach and lots of activities to keep adults and kids happy. They had a magician (which I initially thought would be hokey and boring) that was funny and entertaining for kids and adults. The next day there was a women who brought multiple live owls to talk about them and show them to the kids. Hot chocolate, hot dogs, brats, all available for guests. MY shower was HUGE and I felt like I was in a car wash, with all the nozzles knocking the dirt off of me

This location has three bedroom villas and was ideal for a family visit. This resort has fewer pools and facilities than other Marriott resorts on HHI and not as walkable. Beaches are great.

The property at Surf Watch is beautiful - lots of trees, a marshland view, lovely accommodations and helpful staff. The pool where we chose to sit ( the smaller one) was wonderful- seating was easy to get and a lot of umbrellas and seats with shade tops. The other larger pool was quite a walk away (although there were golf carts to give you a ride). My only complaint was that at the smaller pool the only foods available were blended (virgin drinks were also available) and chips. If you wanted anything else you had to walk to the other pool, which was crowded (hard to find a table) and the lines were long. Other than this one disappointment the resort is top notch!

The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms had hair in the bathrooms when we checked in. One of the toilets was not flushing properly. The room was not well kept. Sofa cushion had a tear and
