Avoid this place at all costs. We have consistently stayed at Hamptons for decades, and they seem to be going downhill lately. But this one is by far the worst. There is a huge hole in the roof of the portico that appears to have been there awhile. The lobby is dirty and it looks like water damage on the wallpaper. Doors are chewed up and mangled. My wife, who has a better nose than I do, said she could smell mold as soon as she walked in the lobby. We made our way to our room and she wrinkled her nose and said the mold smell was really bad in the room. One of the comforters was not clean. We gathered our stuff and told the desk clerk we were not staying here. We went up the street to the Drury Inn, which was very nice. We overheard a guest at the Drury talking about the Hampton and he said he didn’t have hot water. Honestly, I don’t know how Hampton allows their name to remain on such a run-down, dilapidated property.

The main entrance has debris falling from the roof. The parking lot has construction. The pool has been closed for so long but they permanently laminated the signs. Fireplace does not work. Some rooms do not have a refrigerator. Hot water was not working, the front desk said that they have been having issues and to just leave the water run 10 to 15 minutes... It did finally produce warm water but that was annoying to wait so long. By far the worst Hampton I have ever stayed in.

We made reservationsvations with a very nice woman at the hotel, met her upon arrival, friendly, helpful with local directions. Room was very clean, all necessity for the room, in place, breakfast at 6 am very basic but area again very clean, easy check out. We will return to this hotel in two weeks.

Comfortable beds. Good shower pressure. Clean room which is a must have. Likely due for some updating soon but definitely a 3-1/2 out of 5 place to stay. Reasonable price for a decent hotel room on a long trip. Free breakfast was ok and typical for a Hampton Inn.
