First room we were given was previously occupied and not cleaned. Second room we got off the elevator and light was flickering. Mold surrounded the bathtub, the fold out bed spring was broken and falling through the frame. Smell of odor in room from mold and doors would not close. Overall felt unsafe and not what I expect at a holiday inn express. Very disappointed

Poor choice to stay in the Sherman Area

Property in very poor shape. I stayed in room 137. A/C did not work properly, wires were hanging down from it on bottom. Black mold in bathtub caulking and around tub. In bathroom, there were holes in wall where drywall had rotted out. Grounds were unkept and dumpster enclosure wide open for the 3 days I was there. In addition, the price of the room per night was one of the highest in Sherman. This is not typical of a Holiday Inn Express who usually maintains good standards.

This property is old and needs remodeling. There is soft spots in the wall in the bath. Mold on the soap dish in the shower. The pool is closed for repairs so there are no amenities.

Let me preface by saying that upon arrive I should have turned around and never looked back seeing as how their was parts missing from the sign on the front of the building in addition to the sketchy area it was in… Upon entering the parking lot there were several sketchy men scattered about sitting in vehicles, as well as standing around the building in dark corners. All of these men were in phones and just looked ominous and the whole environment felt unsafe. Per usual and against better judgement, I proceeded to check in. Once inside my room and before I had time to put my things down, there were baby cockroaches crawling about the tables as well as dead ones smushes on the walls throughout the room. When reporting it, the person at the front desk just put that we saw a bug, and never recorded the extent of what was in the room. I wondered if they had just prayed for bugs considering the whole place smelled like some type of chemical. We were moved upstairs where the room keys wouldn’t work, and got stuck on the elevator on the way back down to request a refund so we could leave. Regarding cleanliness, there was mysterious stains of fluids that had dripped on the carpet at some point throughout the whole building. Not to mention that the price was what I consider to be high given that non of the advertised amenities were available. In a nutshell, trust your instincts and don’t proceed when there are clear signs you shouldn’t.

Elevators out of order, did not let me know during reservation, outlets near sink not GFI , floor tile loose. Broken & uneven. This property has doors falling off jambs, their laundry room door will not shut others missing door locksets. A person would think with a disabiled wife, he would have got a 1st floor room. I'm also a disabilied Veteran.

Property was having construction, and our room was dirty and stains on all furniture. The pull out bed was held together with duct tape. Beds seemed clean and it was a quick trip overnighter so we stayed.

Elevator was out of service, card key wouldn't work on exterior door, my room door once you got in would not shut unless you are in the room, ants were in the window and on the curtains, vent doors weren't covering the jetted tub, hair was in the bathtub thats inside the bathroom.
