I had a wonderful three night stay at Stafford Lodge and was made to feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. My room was clean, safe, secure and comfortable, the staff were always on hand, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. They went above and beyond to provide information to make my exploration of Freetown even more interesting! I would go back to Stafford Lodge in a flash if I ever go back to Sierra Leone!

This is just the best place to stay in Sierra Leone. All the staff are really great and the place is very comfortable. In addition to the hotel, Dori, the joint owner, arranged our 16 night tour around Sierra Leone and provided a driver and full time guide. The whole trip was flawless from being collected at the airport by the Aberdeen water taxi rep. Dori and her husband Desmond ensured all trip details were perfectly arranged. Suleiman, her brother in law was our driver for 2 weeks and Bassie was our guide. Bassie was passionate about his country and explained the history so well. Sierra Leone while being a poor country is so interesting and has so much history. We would definitely recommend Dori's travel company, Salone Hidden Gems, to organise your trip to Sierra Leone. We completely recommend the entire team at Stafford Lodge as just perfect.

Welcome home...from the moment you're met at the ferry you'll feel like family. I can't say enough about this place. Dori, Desmond and their team are simply amazing. Whether you're there for a getaway or a Homecoming Ceremony or you have business in the area The Stafford Lodge is the place to stay. Comfortable rooms with breakfast included- you can't beat the price! There's always a welcoming smile waiting to greet you. If you are there to explore, Dori's Salone Hidden Gems, offers tours to all the places you need to see. There is a restaurant, as well as a bar, onsite that offers a true taste of local food. Don't hesitate to try the Groundnut Stew or the Cassava Leaf, you'd be hard pressed to find a better version anywhere! The location is excellent as well. Close to the beaches and bustling downtown markets in one direction and out to Waterloo and the provinces in the other. Look no further The Stafford Lodge offers the best Freetown experience!!!...Photos are from my first trip.

Hospitality was excellent you feel like you are staying in one of the excellent hotels in the USA nothing is missing electricity was excellent there breakfast was excellent. I would definitely go back there and I recommend it to anyone who wants to go there do not hesitate!
