I feel bad leaving negative reviews but this hotel is in need of a renovation. I stayed here because it was top rated on TripAdvisor in Beaumont but I was disappointed and this is a 2 star rated property at best. The property is outdated and not well taken care of. The room was moldy and the AC smelled odd. The kitchen and room furniture seem as from 20 years ago. Moldy feel in the room and building. Bathtub had a large chip. Bed was super soft and uncomfortable.

Not a good place to stay. Room smelled, soap dispenser in the shower was empty, only one wash cloth, opened bottle of lotion on the nightstand, no soap in the bathroom to wash hands, no forks in the silverware drawer, white paint splatter on the refrigerator and floor. There was a used coffee filter in the coffee maker.

The room was moldy and smelled. We had a very bad experience. No bulb in bedside lamp, broken toilet seat, no ice, thermostat didn’t work. The staff was great and helped with the AC issue but this is an older property that needs some refurb. Do not recommend especially with other options nearby.

The hotel was old and that was fine, but the heat didn’t work. I would have been okay but I had my small children with me. And when I called the front desk to advise that it was cold, they asked me to come check other rooms to find a warm one. I was appalled because clearly I am a guest. He went on to say that the heat was out because of a recent freeze and it had messed up. At the end of the day since it was late and our account had already been charged, we decided to stay and asked for extra blankets to make it through the night. We will never choose that location again.

Have stayed with many candlewood suites. This one does not live up to the brand. Mattress are saggy and need to be replaced. Carpet is very outdated. Halls need to be painted. First room the door didn’t shut or lock. Had to move to another room. This hotel does not live up to the candlewood brand. Please don’t stay here.

Not worth the money - needs a renovation!
The women checking me in was awesome!!!! But the room was not cleaned and had issues such as the toilet leaked and had water stains inside, there was dust on the table and the sink had beard trimmings in it. The beds were clean at least and the room big. The TV Remote was broken too - so no TV for the night. The guy watching the front desk in the morning was busy vaping in the doorway and didn’t provide any reason to share my issues or even say hello even though I did.

Absolutely a total sham. They have this hotel marketed as a premium place with really nice accommodations. Turns out it’s super run down and was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in at least a decade. Front desk worker, super rude and quick to says you can go somewhere else. My room had a terrible smell and the pull out was broken. Sorry, we don’t have any other room. This was a huge part of me booking this room as I have cancer and cannot lay down and was depending on it. Terrible sleep. I have a bunch of great photos of the property. Real photos, not the fake stuff they have posted booking. Websites and/or apps. DO NOT DO IT!! Go elsewhere.

I can't believe this hotel has a rating as high as it does. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we ever had. The room smelled like yucky fish when we first walked in. Not sure if there was a leak somewhere or what. When we got up the next morning, there was something like wet mildew all over us and our bags. The place was horrible! Never again!

There was a severe issue with the drainage in the bathroom. The carpet was soaking wet in the hall and we tracked water into our room. The room smelled like mold/wet.
We can say the beds were comfortable and the room was a good size.
