I’m checking in. She asks for a credit card.
I said sorry my wife has the credit card she is getting a little spa treatment done right now. It’s our wedding anniversary today. She says ohh okay well I need the credit card to do the deposit fee.
I said okay no problem I’m getting my wife to send me a photo of the card give me a few minutes. She says okay that’s great thank you.
I get the picture and say okay I got the photo I’m ready.
This chick goes oh sorry no I need the physical card.
So why didn’t you say I need the physical card in the first place!?!
I told you I’m getting a photo and you didn’t say no no I need card in hand.
Let me go through with it and get a photo, call my wife, and then tell me.
I was shacking my head like are you for real?
I then have to drive and interrupt my wife’s spa time get the card and drive back.
So off the hop not a great start.
The room meh. I’ve stayed in a nicer motel.
I got a “suite” and it didn’t feel like it.
Bed was comfy. Cob webs on the corners of the room.
Chipped paint, and every hanger for towels, and the the bracket for the door locks, were loose and wobbly. Screws weren’t fully seated in the frame.
It was honestly motel level l stuff.
Won’t be booking another room here.
This one time was enough for me.

We have stayed in this facility several times a year over the last 5 years. It is going downhill. Little things, chipped paint, sink stopper doesn’t work but most annoyingly we aren’t able to control the temperature in the room overnight. No matter how low I set the thermostat the temperature remained at 23 C which made sleeping very difficult. We don’t keep the house at 23 during the day and 19 is recommended if the goal is to lower cost.

Room was clean. Good parking. Didn’t get to try breakfast as there was a hockey team and we couldn’t get near the food. And when we got up to the hot items there was almost nothing left. We had to be to an event and had to leave. Otherwise the stay was great

Staff was great, breakfast was good, beds comfy, was surprised and grateful that the Girls hockey team were not running around the halls at 11 pm. Been here when boys hockey have been here not a good night sleep.

Room was clean, but tub did not drain properly. During check-in reception was not so friendly and responsive to questions, but made up for it at check-out. Breakfast was okay, it would have been nice to have some eggs without cheese as an option. Many do not like or can’t eat cheese.

Our stay at the Comfort Hotel was very good. Room was spotless and we got a free upgrade! Reception Staff was very polite and courteous and very knowledgeable about the area. She was able to look after us quickly and efficiently! I would recommend stay at this location. KS
