自从这家酒店开业以来,我每年都会来这里好几次。虽然酒店有些老旧,但仍然是商务住宿的好地方。安静、干净、床铺舒适、员工友好、早餐美味。最近我换到了 Embassy Suites,因为这家 Residence Inn 停止了欢乐/社交时光,但那家酒店已经被订满了,所以我和我的伙伴这次住在了 Residence Inn。我们都觉得这是临时旅行的绝佳选择,但真的很想念晚上的鸡尾酒会。(我确实偷偷溜到庭院去享用他们的酒吧,但 Residence Inn 过去提供的免费小吃和葡萄酒很棒)。我们是在星期五入住的,我知道只有一些工作日才有,但请把它恢复到疫情之前的样子。除此之外,我没有什么可抱怨的,还会再次入住这里,甚至比大多数其他品牌更喜欢这家酒店。

When I I made the reservation I selected a King room. Upon arrival I was told I’d been upgraded to a two bedroom suite. As a frequent traveler for business and someone who has worked in customer service for over 30 years, that statement alone immediately made me suspicious. Upgrades don’t just “happen” I was correct in my suspicions, as it was not an upgrade at all. For the following reasons listed below. A constantly running toilet in one of the bathrooms. I had to close the door so I wouldn’t have to hear it all night. Annoying after you’re exhausted from traveling all day. Broken sliding closet door in one of the bedrooms. Unfortunately, for me of course it was on the side I needed to open to get to the iron. Broken cabinet on one of the bathroom sinks. Literally hanging on by one or two screws. Most importantly I state in my preferences 3rd or 4th floor. This room was on the bottom floor. Which as a female traveling alone is not comfortable. At all! I knew that I would arrive around 8:00pm, so I was intentional about checking in on the app in the morning. Apparently, that did not make a difference, as I’m pretty confident I was given the worst room in the hotel. Probably because it had been rejected by others who arrived earlier in the day. I requested another but was told they were sold out for the night. When I travel to the Newport News area again for work, I will not stay at this particular Marriott Property. And for anyone who finds the things I listed annoying I do not recommend staying here.

It’s also clear that the check-in experience and the handling of your room request left you feeling undervalued as a guest, which is never the impression we want to give. Your loyalty as a frequent traveler and your perspective from working in customer service for many years are both respected and appreciated. While I understand your decision about future stays, I do hope you might reconsider and allow us the opportunity to provide you with the quality experience you expect and deserve.

Me and my family came here to rest for the night after traveling all day on our way home. Initial walk-in very nice, however upon entering our room it smelled of smoke but we figured someone did that before however as we were waking up the smell became so bad. I am now sick from the smoke filled air that came through the vent above the bed as well as the vent directly shooting in my face in the shower. My husband couldn’t take a full shower due to the same issue. We called the front desk twice but was told there was nothing they could do since maintenance smelled nothing in the hallway. Asked for them to enter the room—no response. So as we checked out I asked the front desk to come with me to see the smell and upon opening the door the lady couldn’t even walk in it was so thick. I am now sick from the hours of smoke inhalation.

Decent, but my list of cons has some oddities
Good enough for a five night stay. Here are quick pros/cons that come to mind:
PROS
beds were fine, shower was fine, hotel itself was quiet, staff was very polite and kind, location, pool.
CONS
breakfast during the week was not good (they bring bacon and microwave sugary waffles on the weekend only), the stove in the room is awful...took 30 minutes to boil water (and by boil, i mean a couple of little bubbles. i could've boiled the water faster with a Bic lighter), there were toenail clippings on the floor upon arrival and the beds weren't made, waking up to construction workers at 8am or earlier sucks (they're building a big apartment unit just outside the room I was in...fyi, nail guns blasting in rapid succession sounded like a bunch of paintball shooters attacking each other in my room)), AC stopped working on the last night of my stay so we slept in our sweat...I was sweating profusely the next morning while packing up and bringing everything to the car. August in VA without climate control is no joke. Fortunately I mostly dried off a few hours in to my nine hour car ride home.
Despite this, would I go back if I absolutely had to...sure, I guess.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The free breakfast offered a variety of hot and cold items daily.

Good Customer Service @ 1am on arrival, bathrooms small can be cleaned a little better but overall we would return it was comfortable and quiet.

这是我在任何一家万豪酒店住过的最糟糕的一次。。。我以前住过这里,但这家酒店已经不行了。大堂很干净,办理入住很顺利,前台员工看起来很乐于助人。。。12 月 2 日入住 430 号房间,住了 3 晚。打开行李后,我看到了一只蟑螂。。。杀了它。几分钟后又看到 2 只。如果我不是那么累,我就会收拾行李马上离开。在房间里大约一个小时后,我的过敏开始发作,并且整晚都越来越严重。最后关掉了暖通空调风扇,情况才好一点。睡不好后大约凌晨 4 点醒来,再次开始收拾行李准备退房。刚好看了看暖通空调进气口,上面布满了灰尘(难怪我的过敏发作了)。退房时,前台接待员似乎对我的投诉感到惊讶,并告诉我她会在 12 月 3 日星期一我到店时通知总经理。我使用积分支付,因此,我剩余 2 晚未使用的积分已退还。 . . 没问题。离开酒店约 30 分钟后,接待员打电话告诉我,她已与总经理交谈,他们将退还我第一晚的积分。 好吧,2 周过去了,我们什么也没得到。 省点麻烦,找其他地方住吧。
