Let it be known, if you check in with a pet, you will be placed in the ‘older’ section of the hotel. I paid for a premium room, but after checking in, we were placed at the back of the hotel, in an obviously very tired room with a bed removed. For a traveler, the room was totally fine, but barely acceptable. We had a clean room and bathroom, but limited outlets, handprints on the mirror, and didn’t feel that we received the room visible in the pictures. The hotel was acceptable as clean and safe, but not what I paid for based on photos.

In was in town for my dad’s funeral. One of the days, I had to call twice. One call because my entrance door (room #324) would not lock and the second call was because of the toilet backing up. In that same day, they had to move me to another room. The next day in the new room 320, I had to call because the heat wasn’t working so they had to send someone to fix it. One more thing, the hotel looked much better in the pictures than it did in person. I’m very disappointed with my stay.

This is one of the better hotels I’ve stayed up for a while Holiday Inn will be my choice of hotels when I travel if I can have the option to stay their beds are most comfortable hotels are very nice. This one in Springfield is exceptional.

Staff is fantastic, the room did have cleanliness issues, dirty bathroom, coffe maker broken, microwave dented badly,breakfast was good, shower was fantastic, overall 3.5 stars

Aoparently ok to let dozens of kids run wild
Room and facilities were great. There was a large group of families with kids in town for a soccer tournament. Families let their kids run wild in the hotel. So for 4 hours, we got about 2 dozen 10 year olds running up and down the halls, pressing all the buttons on the elevators, screaming, running outside, etc. Hotel staff told us they "talked to" these families but nothing really changed. If they lack the ability to enforce their policies (adults required to monitor children), they might as well not even have them. Othe than that, the stay was 100% fine.

The room looked like it was missing a piece of furniture. The mini fridge was on the floor. I was really surprised at the age of the lamps when I went to charge my phone.

I am always honest about these reviews, whether they like it or not…
Cleanliness/restroom/bed/layout average. No remote in room, had to have a maintenance guy bring one. Sketchy area outside in evening, but it seems like most of Springfield is pretty sketchy.
Don’t go to the steak & shake close by- totally incompetent staff. Watched them get 3 groups’ orders wrong then watched them get ours wrong. Cold served, missing customer service all around.

Overall staff was friendly and it would be a really nice hotel if repairs were made, water stained tiles need replaced, dinged or damaged areas need patched and painted,things dusted and cleaned to include the fake plants and water for the real plants dying in the pool house and outdoors. It's sad, there is some beautiful lanscaping that has been let go, left to die and nothing really being maintained.
Unfortunately I prepaid for breakfast for all of us per day and was told I couldn't be refunded due to booking through ******* after finding all the hot food was cold. We didn't use but 2 of our tickets and were out the money for the rest.
We had no housekeeping the first 3 days and had to ask for fresh towels daily after using them for the shower leak even after talking with management. Our room phone didn't work so we had to go to the lobby several times. The week we stayed the beds were only made once, the room never vacuumed, swept or mopped and ran out of bodywash and had to ask for it to be filled when housekeeping failed to check or clean the room today as well as ask again for fresh and extra towels because even after maintenance came our shower leaked puddles daily every use.
After addressing all these things I still had to go down to the lobby again yonight my last night to requeat towels a bath matt and body wash that has been empty 2 days. We will try somewhere else next time.

Terribly long line to check in and wouldn’t allow you to check in until 4:00 exactly. However some customers were allowed to check in before regardless of us waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes until 4:00. Front desk personnel very slow in answering concerns.
