I want to start off by saying: We had the best experience. check in was easy and the front desk personnel were very helpful in supplying all the valuable information we needed. When we got to our room, we were very pleased. It was a 1 bedroom, spacious, unit. Our view was of the mountain. We were very pleased that the bed was a king and not a queen. The unit had 2 bathrooms, one with a tub and the other with a shower. The showers was fairly small, but even at 6’3” and over weight, there was room to take care of business. The kitchen was well portioned. You really could not ask for anything more. there were two couches in the unit. Both of them have the ability to make into a bed. We didn’t use them, but there were there if you wanted them. There was also an oversized seat in the bedroom that made into a bed. I loved that there were two large TV’s in the unit with very good cable. We had no problems with it. The WiFi was very reliable and efficient. Probably one of the best benefits is that there is a shuttle from Streamside to Lionshead and Vail free of charge. It left the place every hour and half hour and you can come back every half hour as well. This was really nice. Both of the r drivers were friendly and even helpful with information. The pool is a great benefit. You can go inside and out and the water is heated to like 85 degrees. There are a lot of amenities available as well, ping pong, games, racketball, and more. This was a great facility.

We had an amazing stay in a one-bedroom loft villa. The pool was warm and welcoming. Comfy beds, spacious room, fast WiFi, solid views. Already planning our next stay as we had such a great time. It’s a 40-minute (brisk) walk to Lionshead or a couple minutes by car to there, vail village, or further to Avon or Edward’s. Highly recommended.

Our condo was very nice and larger than we thought it would be. Staff were nice and very accommodating. The shuttle to downtown Vail was a bonus.

The villa and resort exceeded expectations. The 1BR villa was very spacious and appeared recently refreshed. I had a corner villa with the best view of the mountains. The fire place worked well. Only suggestion is one larger bathroom rather than 2 smaller ones, though occasionally having 2 bathrooms was convenient. Kitchen was fully stocked with more plates and cups I could need for a week. Neighbors cooked a deliciously smelling meal one night. I was tempted to knock on their door and ask if they had room for 2 more. Covered parking was limited in Douglas, especially on the weekend. There was plenty of spaces during mid week. The ski locker was very convenient and made use of it rather then bringing equipment all the way up into the villa. The indoor/outdoor pool and indoor hot tub was a treat. Locker room was immaculate. Outdoor hot tub at the activity center was not open at this time. Douglas building was a short walk to the pool area. Pool table and pool sticks could have used some love. The shuttle to Lionshead and Vail villages was convenient enough. We only drove to Vail Village once because we had just missed the shuttle and parking was free after 3pm on non-peak days. This was very convenient. Westside Cafe is very close to the resort and has excellent food (they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.) Few restaurants deliver to the resort. Safeway is also very close to the resort and is open until 11pm. The resort could benefit from having an onsite market, but by no means a deal breaker. Overall my stay exceeded expectations. I was wary at first knowing it was a smaller resort without onsite restaurants or markets. However everything you need is close by and having shuttle service is key. Free parking, no resort fees and free shuttle makes this resort a winner.

For a business trip to the area-this was a solid option! Large rooms, well appointed and very clean. The no AC thing did not bother me at all, nor did I need it, even in mid August. They provided some lovely Dyson fans which helped, but it is also nice to enjoy the windows being open. Staff was all very gracious and friendly. The building itself is a little tired. Location is good for activities, just outside of Vail Village. You could walk it, if you are in the mood for exercise. I think in the summer it is more ideal than the winter as far as location to activities BUT the shuttle is fantastic and makes all of that obsolete any time of year. Vail is expensive all the time, so no surprise there that this was a hefty nightly rate even on a Monday. Seemed like a great place for families.

Overall the room is nice. Outdated, but nice. Having no ac was absolutely miserable. The pool was also closed for the week which kind of ruined it for my little one. I am from texas and can withstand the heat, but going out hiking all day and coming back trying to recover, is rough when it doesn’t get less than 80 degrees in the room. We had to sleep on a pullout because they didn’t have any standard rooms available and with a family that is not very easy to do. Just wish they could have been more accommodating. Even a window unit wound have been better than no A/c. The shuttle drivers were very pleasant and prompt. We loved them.

酒店回复: Hi, Melanie. Thank you for your review of Marriott's StreamSide Douglas at Vail. We are delighted that our shuttle drivers were pleasant and prompt, but apologize you were unaware our property does not offer AC units as our rooms rely on the cool alpine breezes. We hope to have the pleasure of having you back again during the cooler months!
