Attended a wedding in July at the Beechill, very disappointed. Room small and outdated. Very overpriced, room cost over £200, so not worth it! Minimal staff presence and hotel very shabby and untidy. Breakfast was grim! Small portions and food well undercooked.

酒店回复: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m very sorry to hear that your recent stay during the July wedding did not meet your expectations. We understand how important comfort and quality are for our guests, and it’s disappointing to learn that we fell short on this occasion. Your comments regarding the bedroom, staffing levels, and breakfast experience have been shared directly with our management and operational teams. We are currently reviewing these areas to ensure improvements are made, as this is not the standard we aim to deliver. Stayed recently and overall we were extremely disappointed with our experience. Our room certainly didn't reflect to the photos attached to this location. Our room was small, extremely warm, had tired decoration and just looked dated. Top floor, no lift and steep stairs to negotiate. The bathroom didn't fair much better with tiny stand alone shower. The shower head was loose/dirty and water pressure was extremely poor. A vanity mirror was also hanging loose and couldn't be used. Breakfast was fine with a number of options. Perhaps if the staff members had been more welcoming or showed a little interest and interacted with the guests it would have helped but no......poor. Definitely would not recommend. Not worth the £200

This venue needs a complete update and overhaul. Attended a wedding here the staff were young inexperienced and rude. The toilets smell really badly overall I would not recommend.

Had my wedding here in December 2024, during storm daragh so I couldn't have my wedding outside even though the weather was actually fine. Didn't get any pictures outside which is why I choose the venue for the beautiful grounds. Our main meal food was tough and over cooked some guests meals were ok but as the wedding couple ours was awful. Didn't have our sweet treat table or sparklers, so much was missing from our day and when speaking to the manger after there was no reasons or apologies. I had a lot of DIY for guests to look at and explore and it was all shoved in a corner where no one could see. Kids corner had nothing in it. We were supposed to get so much of the details around Christmas and nothing except a few trees resembeled that it was winter time. The staff were ok on the day but once it was over it was like they got their money and didn't care anymore no one to say goodbye when leaving or anything. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone and It was supposed to be a dream day which in my case I didn't enjoy a lot of due to so much missing.

Online the pictures look amazing so we were excited for our stay. We stayed over for a wedding and I don’t know if we just got a bad room, but we were not impressed for £160 a night. The carpet in our room was stained, curtains were sun damaged and torn to shreds, the furniture is supposed to look traditional but it just felt like we were in a Cheap motel. The hot water took about 20 minutes to heat up. And the 1 key a room wasn’t overly safe in the case that I went to the room early, and my partner stayed in the bar but I couldn’t lock the door unless he locked me in and wouldn’t be safe in case of a fire. Again, I wouldn’t have minded paying £60 for this room but £160 is steep for that we got. If the hotel is charging that much a night surely they could afford some new curtains!

The beech hill is a tranquil get away with great food and service. The grounds are well kept and offer a relaxing lush green space to stroll in. The rooms are clean and spacious. Dinner and breakfast are both superb. This is a special relaxing place.

Beechhill was the first venue we looked at and the last. The surrounding countryside and grounds are beautiful. When she found that Beechhill had a woodland, lake house, a historical house and a marquee; it was a simple choice. My wife had in her heart a vision she wanted to create, and with the help of Lucy, and such an amazing, combined team of other brilliant & helpful professionals, her wishes came true. The location for exchanging vows was varied & all beautiful, including the backup options. We chose the outdoor forest, though the lake house was our second favourite; all locations had a backup elegant indoor hall also. I would mention at this time, that the assistance in helping us seek arrangements for guests both at the start of the ceremony & otherwise was impeccable. Our guests were legendarily troublesome to deal with. The venue was also able to provide us with fantastic decor, such as floral arrangements, aisle runners, and altar decorations. They also had additional vendors who we could had contacted, but their package offerings were fantastic. The menu at Beech Hill was also fantastic. From appetizers to desserts, there’s something for every person’s taste. On our tasting night, we were treated to several different selections across each plate, that all could have been chosen. All the dishes arrived in good time & without any noticeable mistakes, showcasing attention to detail. The quality of the food and the flavors was remarked upon by many guests; including the bao bun & the pork, alongside all the dessert options from the in-house pattersie chef. The reception service efficiency was also very good. The staff at Beech Hill were able to anticipate most needs, keep things moving smoothly, and maintain a professional demeanour throughout. I would give special mention to the operations manager Kevin during the day. In summary, Beech Hill delivered a reliable and commendable experience. I would like to note that the ground and surroundings were perfect for the photographs, including the gardens, lakes, courtyards, scenic backdrops, well-maintained grounds. The hotel accommodations was also very nice; each room was comfortable and clean. Any amenities required on the day for both wedding parties were also on hand. We cannot speak highly enough about the staff responsiveness and hospitality. I think it is also worthwhile adding a separate review on the after-party venue. Beechhill does have a separate spacious marque for dancing, music, and late-night celebrations. This allowed our late night atmosphere to go well, in both the cozy lounge & lively dance floor. Beechhill also offers a good transition from the reception to the after-party, with food & a late night underground bar. The whole experience up to the day was about as low-stress as it’s possible for a wedding to be – alongside putting us us in touch with all the suppliers. Every one of which was excellent and managed a lot of the organisation for us. That left us free to enjoy

So went stayed in the Beech hill for a friends wedding. We wanted to stay to enjoy the whole day without worrying about getting lifts. First of all the car park is tiny. Cars parked everywhere with all the wedding guest. The benches in the woodland wedding area are a little worrying. We thought ours might break at one point. Lovely area for a wedding ceremony tho. Our room was fine. Basic for £190. No fridge or biscuits with the tea coffee. The bed was great it was massive. We had booked a double but it had another bed in the room aswell. Food at wedding was beautiful. The breakfast was very slow coming out. It said continental but I never seen this. Just a menu for hot breakfasts. We had the fry which was fine I just don’t like fatty beacon. It is an old house so there is a very distinct musty smell in the hallways to the rooms. It’s a place I think you would only Stay if you were at a wedding there. The shower was in the bath combined. It was fine clean and all it’s just wee things I’m not fussed on when I pay to Stay away. Overall I feel the room was over priced for what it was but again it was a wedding so we paid it. Lovely old house very picturesque. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely young girl on reception very helpful.

We had our wedding reception at Beech Hill Country House in August 2023. It was the most magical day from start to finish and would not have been possible without the meticulous hard work of all the staff at Beech Hill. What drew us initially to this venue was the charming country house and beautiful surrounding grounds. We were also very much drawn to the fact the venue is yours for the day so it makes it all the more personal for your family and friends to enjoy. We were lucky enough to get a beautiful sunny day so had our drinks reception by the lake which was stunning. The Pavillion where we dined and danced the night away is also beautiful with twinkling fairy lights, it is so romantic. Thank you to Kevin, the MC who was a natural! Finally we partied into the small hours in the quirky little basement bar in the main house. Thank you so much to all the bar staff and night porter Johnathan! Ellie, who was our wedding coordinator went above and beyond for us and helped make the planning a lot less stressful with her expertise! The food was simply outstanding and a lot of our guests have said it was the best wedding meal food they ever tasted. The Beech Hill is simply a classically beautiful wedding venue, we had our photos taken on the grounds and they are stunning. The staff make sure everything is covered to ensure you and your guests have the best day! We could not recommend it enough, all our family and friends are still raving about how magic our wedding day was. Thank you again so much. Mr & Mrs Lynch
