We arrived at 12 noon with prior arrangements. Upon arrival one of the hostess was not aware of how many rooms we had booked nor the amount of guests. We booked 8 rooms for 17 guests. There was no toilet paper and when we requested, Lulu the manager insisted that she had personally placed it in the bathroom. As she was speaking another employee stated that she had forgotten to place paper in all the bathrooms. The rooms had a lot of spiders and insects crawling around. The next morning there was no hot water in 4 rooms. The geyser plugs were down and the excuse was they tripped and the staff did not notice. Then no breakfast was served. When we queried with Lulu she stated that we had to pay extra. We then showed proof of our booking that was inclusive of breakfast. We waited an hour for them to go to the shop to buy ingredients. The breakfast then came out one at a time with about 8- 10 minutes in between each delivered meal. When we requested the owners number Lulu gave us a number and yet the person who answered had no idea of At the Rock. Altogether a very disappointing stay and if possible I would rate a minus one.

WOW !! WHAT A LOVELY PLACE !! THANK YOU ZAZA For your Friendly service, your spontaneous personality, friendly face and warm feeling made us feel right at home ... Not once did you hesitate too assist us. Would definitely recommend At The Rocks Country Estate to anyone passing through PTA/Rayton area.

I’ve booking for a wedding and paid in full end of March 2022. On our way to the place my stepson phoned me to let me know that our room was cancelled. I was so confused as Lulu told me that I didn’t pay for my accommodation and sent her my POP 3/4 times. I have made arrangements for us to book in earlier and she said that I have to pay R300 extra which I confirmed it is in order. On my call with her she confirmed that our room was cancelled and that she will make plan. I did explained that we need the room for earlier as 2 is too late. We had to find a new accommodation in that short period for us to dress. I have made all the arrangements before the time and still she made a mistake. Now she refuse to pay back my money. This is very poor service 0/10. She don’t want to give me the owner’s telephone number. What now??????

We attended a wedding nearby and travelled in from Cape Town that morning, so I asked Lulu for an early check-in (12h00) to give us time to freshen up and change. After some unanswered emails, she eventually agreed to this during a phone call. I confirmed again on the Monday before our arrival on the Saturday. We arrived at 11h00 and nobody answered the gate. I phoned Lulu just to ask if there was somewhere we could wait until our room was ready - she sarcastically asked me if we wanted to wait in the pool. She did direct us to a nearby place where we had something to eat and then returned to The Rocks at 11h20 only to be told by Grace that we could only check in at 14h00. After a long back and forth, Lulu claimed that she gave the wrong name to the lady in charge, Grace (after I confirmed at least 3 times???) Grace eventually gave us the key to possibly the worst room on the premises. The tap at the basin was loose and leaking, there were ants all over the show. The mirror at the basin is so low that my husband was unable to shave. The bedding is old and tired, albeit clean, and the whole room is screaming for some TLC.
