We spent two nights here as part of a tailor made five week trip around India so the hotel was chosen for us by our travel agent. We arrived on Dev Dewali so Varanasi was incredibly busy however the hotel is located in a quiet area. On arrival we were given a slightly overwhelming but friendly welcome with silk scarves wrapped around us and our photo taken. The decor of the hotel was very dark which we found a bit oppressive and this included our room. The room itself was adequate for our needs. The restaurant was not aesthetically pleasing and could have been cleaner but the staff were very friendly and were keen to help. Breakfast was OK. We did have an evening meal which was excellent (vegetable manchurion, sweet & sour balls and noodles). Strangely, we had a call from the front desk to remind us they were serving breakfast which was unnecessary (fortunately we weren't woken up as we had already been on a sunrise boat cruise!). Overall it was OK for a two night stay.

A poor quality hotel with poor customer service. The room that was allocated to us had many cockroaches . The staff and management are not friendly . We were asked not to post the pictures of cockroaches and was offered a complimentary dinner by management. When we presented ourselves for dinner we were informed it’s no complimentary and it’s at our own costs

The hotel is an average hotel which has the potential of giving excellent experience but for its over priced rooms , and other offerings . We took three room for two nights at approx 6000 per night plus taxes and following are the obversation: both night could not sleep as there was parties( happening ) with loud music . The rooms are facing noisy main road and has upsc domestic windows and in our case 408, the window lock was broken resulting in noise. The hotel has a strange policy to issue one key per room for even a double occupied room . The staff virtually sleeps openly during early hours and were reluctant to even respond when we came back from mangla aarti . The bathroom has a glass wall which results in disturbance to the fellow occupant when he or she is sleeping. The internet doesn't work at all. Housekeeping is an issue .we went to bar at roof top and when asked for the bill, they proudly announced that they have given us a 20 percent discount. ( Which we never solicited) . However , when I wanted to charge it to room, they declined and said 20 percent discount shall be waived off in case of room charge . Logic unknown . All in all a poor experience specially when the hotel has potential and is charging good amount of money .
