Had a wonderful stay here! The living room space was incredibly cozy. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, and we slept very well. Dan is a warm and friendly host, and we really enjoyed chatting with him.
The kitchen facilities were excellent and fully equipped. We were able to cook two dinners there comfortably, and the self-serve breakfast was a nice touch. The location next to the river and railroad tracks. The surroundings are serene and relaxing. Would absolutely love to come back. Definitely recommend it!

Beautiful home and property on the river for our stay after visiting Falling Water. Warm, cozy decor and most importantly a very comfy bed and linens. Breakfast was easy to self serve, with delicious breads, yogurt, oatmeal and toppings. Highly recommend!!

The house and the room were very cosy and comfortable. The place itself, located on the bank of a beautiful river on one side and along the train tracks on the other, has a lot of character. You may miss a turn to the little gravel lane if you come in the dark, but it is a retreat, after all, hidden away from the world:)
Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to meet the owners.
I only had one issue. Since the place is rather isolated and I have been driving all day, I really wished I had a way to get some food. I found tea and some bread but it would've been nice to have some hot food or at least an egg.

A lovely stay at Paddlers Lane Retreat. Room was cozy and had everything I needed. Close enough to food options but off the path so it was very quiet and serene.
Dan was a pleasure to chat with and very helpful with recommendations. If I pass through again, I'll definitely stay here.

It was a beautiful location but somewhat isolated and we lost internet and had trouble finding paddler’s creek.
There was a train track next to the property that passed all night and woke us several times.
It was more of an adventure than a vacation.we did go to Falling Water which was amazing but it was a lot further from Confluence than we realized.

Dan and Robin are very thoughtful and caring hosts. The location was very close to falling waters. The place was extremely clean and we were allowed to cook in the kitchen.
The nearby town restaurants close early and you may want to take your own food for dinner. Breakfast is provided by the hosts.
Only negative is the sound of trains nearby.

It is well-run by friendly and accessible hosts, ready to see to your every need. It is set in a relaxing, natural location with a small river running by (and an occasional train). It is very close to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob (Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes) as well as cycling and kayaking options. You should choose Paddler's Retreat for these reasons. Dining and shopping options are very limited.

Sweet Retreat on the River
We thoroughly enjoyed our 42nd wedding anniversary trip. Love to explore new places for fly fishing, kayaking and biking! This works for all three!
Mustang picture is per Dan’s request.

We had an amazing stay at Paddler's Lane Retreat. The atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful and our host Dan is a national treasure! He was so funny and helpful in helping us decide which local restaurants to try.
