The breakfast was NOT free and was limited in options. The bar did not have a liquor license. The staff was very limited and the cost of valet was very expensive. The rooms were small and there were dogs allowed on all floors of the hotel. There was construction on the side of the hotel with work beginning at 6 am so it was not a pleasant stay. The construction should have been disclosed before I made a reservaction.

Repeat customer. Great location for our purposes. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom shower could use a deep clean. Did not have breakfast this stay as menu was very limited compared to the great options prior. Parking is at a premium all over Knoxville but the price to pay on property is way too excessive!

The hotel itself is gorgeous and in a great location close to Neyland Stadium/UT campus. The reason for my poor review is due to the fact that the scent that is being used in the lobby is so overpowering, I had a migraine both nights we stayed at The Cumberland House. The scent was legit on everything. My husband purchased a Powerade in the convenience area in the lobby and the bottle smelled like the lobby. As someone who suffers with asthma, the scent also caused wheezing issues. We had hoped the scent would not be in our room, but unfortunately, it was. We paid an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money to stay here for two nights as my husband had tickets to the Vols/Arkansas game. It’s a beautiful hotel, but the scent theming is overboard to the point it causes health issues.

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, and very clean. The only thing I’d complain about was the construction right outside my window at 6am.

I loved the hotel atmosphere and ambiance. The rooms were updated and clean. Everything smelled good! The only negative is that you have to pay for parking but it was easy. I wish I had stayed more than 1 night.
