My wife traveled to Tempe, Arizona in May 2022 to help my son pack and drive back to Colorado for the summer. We made a reservation through Priceline for one night stay at Sleep Inn & Suites Tempe ASU Campus because it was close to the apartment he is staying at. She did not have any issues with the stay until she returned to Colorado. She noticed they were two charges on her credit card. One for the security deposit and another one for the full amount of the stay. We contacted Priceline and asked them to call the hotel to get our refund. Priceline representative called us back after talking to (Eddy, Front Desk at Sleep Inn) to inform us the hotel would give us a refund within hotel refund policy (one to three days). Today is day seven, and we still have not received our refund. I called the Sleep Inn and talked to (Ary, Front Desk at Sleep Inn) to explain the situation. Ary said Priceline did not issue a payment to the hotel so that is why they charge my wife’s credit card for the stay. I told Ary this the first time this situation has happened to us. We have made multiple reservation all over the states with Priceline and never had this happened to us. Again, called Priceline agent to inform the situation and after 30 minutes; Priceline agent called back to inform us Sleep Inn will refund us within 3 to 5 days. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. They will over charge you for the room. I have been in communication with hotel staff for a week trying to resolve the situation without a resolution.

They took my deposit for supposedly "destroying" towels. First of all towels are generally a wear item and wear out over time plus we had to use them to wipe up the floor after a shower as no bath mat was provided. We figured better to dry the floor than let it get damaged. Then the only way to find out why they kept my deposit was to reach out to customer service and they took a month to get back to me to let me know why they were keeping my 100 dollar deposit. I wont be staying here again. If you stay here maybe bring your own towel to save losing your deposit. Seeing at least one other review showing this is not a unique experience.

Pros: pretty close to campus. Room was clean. Free parking, breakfast. The housekeeper who was there when we arrived was the most friendly, helpful person, she was wonderful! Cons: check in was a circus, never cleaned our room (never was told we had to ask to have our room cleaned, and there was no signage saying that). We arrived early, and asked if we could check in early, but we're told no, which I understand. This was 10am on Sat Oct.28th. Gal at front desk said come back at 2, might be able to get you in early. We did, she said no, so we just waited in the lobby. At 10 to 3, we said, hey, can we check in now? Nope. Proceeded to tell us that there was a shift change at 3, so we might have to wait 10-15 minutes to check in. The lobby was full of people when the new shift person got there. I guess I might not be so annoyed had the first shift gal not been talking on her phone and then listening to tik toks loudly while we were waiting. Just felt like she didn't want to do much other than answer the phone.

I was super impressed with this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was great in relation to campus. There were many food options nearby, within walking distance. The only downfall was the sitting area by the pool, it's really small.

GREAT VALUE! Everything I'm looking for as a solo traveler: Friendly staff, clean room and bathroom, good bed. I've stayed here three times in the past 30 days. The highlight is Cynthia, the lady who oversees the breakfast. You can count on a sunny greeting from her. Very nice breakfast! Cynthia keeps everything in order and treats you like family.

OK for a very short overnight stay (only in summer) prior to flying. Very basic place that is somewhat outdated with smaller rooms and lower-quality fixtures. The beds were OK, and the AC worked. We've stayed here twice in the last three months. The first time, the water in the shower was way too cold...just above body temperature. Figured it was just a defective shower and the luck of the draw. Nope. On our second visit, got even colder water in another room. The desk clerk/manager/suspected owner said that there was no problem, we just needed to learn to turn the handle all the way to "hot"... duh ... his way of telling us to take a hike. Which we did.

I needed to bring my elderly parents from Las Vegas to Scottsdale for a medical visit. Alfredo the GM assisted us upon arriving. Staff was very helpful. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was warm. Area felt very safe and had a lot of dining options close by. Will book this hotel for our next appointments

Clean, fresh, good looking, newish, GREAT breakfast, (clever cut above with southwestern scrambled eggs!) Moises, Ed, Maria were cheerful, helpful, professional. Good room, sheets, 4 great pillows, coffee tea in the Kuerig in the room, hot water right away, nice showerhead, charger outlets at the bed table, ironing board/iron, nice fridge, quiet room and hallways. EASY walk to Train, then to TRAM to SkyHarbor. Also on the AAmerican double points plan.
