Please do not stay here. It is old and not updated. They had an overdose and we called the police all in the same day. The pool is closed and they are not updating the hotel because they're building another one. Rethink your stay here!!

I had a reservation at this hotel while traveling from DC to PA. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. When I arrived the room was very hot and over 80 degrees and the unit was blowing hot air. I tried adjusting the analog thermostat and it really didn't improve much. I then asked the front desk to change rooms and after some haggling they did, but the new room had a window to the outside that would not lock, thus creating a security issue. I asked for a refund so I could go to another nearby hotel and they refused to refund the charge. I then left the hotel and stay at a nearby Hampton Inn The next day, I attempted to speak to the hotel front desk manager and she refused to help straighten it out. The hotel is extremely old and outdated and needs upgrades in every aspect - bar none. It's appearance is dingy, musty and not what you would expect from Choice Hotels. The staff is surprisingly unhelpful and frankly seem scared to do anything relative to customer service. I cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

I was here for a conference. It was ok….my room was clean but real dated. The pool was closed, but I could not tell why. They are renovating the common area to put in sports betting. Service was average. The food in the conference was mediocre at best. For $80 it was a value and convenience was great.

This place is huge, but you would expect that for an event center. Miguel checked me in and was wearing an earbud which I consider very unprofessional. I don’t care if you are a desk clerk or whatever. I don’t care if you are listening to music or talking on the phone. It looks unprofessional. It has an indoor pool which I did not see anyone use during my stay. My room had a door which opened into the pool area and had a LARGE space around the lower edge and bottom for noise to come through. The freezer part of the refrigerator had a good sized buildup of ice from not being defrosted. There was a clean diaper left in a drawer which tells me that the drawers don’t get wiped out nor does a housekeeping supervisor come behind and check rooms. The bathroom only had 1 partially used roll of toilet paper and most interestingly had three bath towels, two hand towels and only one wash rag. Seems odd. There were no bags for soiled laundry and the battery cover for the remote was missing. The windows had SEVERAL smears. On the inside, again showing a lack of housekeeping and follow up by a supervisor. The top sheets are from when this was a Wyndham property which is not a bad thing unless you are working in the laundry because they wrinkle badly and quickly at the end of the drying cycle. The breakfast was very good and good parking. Late checkout can only be extended to noon even for a diamond member.

This is a very odd hotel. My main disappointment came in attempting to do laundry. The first floor laundry room had a sign on it that it was out of order. I went to the front desk to ask about the laundry room on the second floor and get some quarters for the machines. At the front desk I was told that the second floor laundry room was also put of order and that they had been out of order for over two months. She said something like they are building or planning to build a new hotel and that management had been debating whether they should fix the machines or replace them given the expectation that this hotel will close. I pointed out that even if the guest laundry facilities were out of order there must be functioning laundry facilities on the premesis for them to turn over the rooms. She said there are but they cannot wash guests clothes in them. She also couldn't give me a roll of quarters in exchange for $10 as the hotel was now "cashless.". That didn't make much sense as they have washers, dryers, and vending machines that only take cash, but I was assured if the laundry facilities were working they would have quarters available for guests. It really seems like hotel management is unwilling to spend any money to repair or maintain non-essential ammenitites and the property really gave off the vibe. There were several spots on the ceiling in my room and throughout the hotel where it looked like water leaked in at some point. It was not actively leaking but they never repaired the damage. I posted a photo of one such area. Also the fitness center was out of order for the duration of my stay though I didn't ask about this at the front desk. I just assumed something broke and they couldn't be bothered to fix it like the laundry rooms. Finally the telephone in my room said Hampton Inn on it. It also said it was room 400 something on it but I was on the 1st floor. I assume the original phone broke and instead of buying a new one they got a second hand on from the Hampton Inn across town. Bizarre. If you've stayed at the hotel in the past expect it to be worse now. It seems like the hotel management will just reduce non essential services as things break and essential stuff will be replaced with used cast aways from other hotels until the new hotel protect is completed.

This hotel was the worst. We checked in at 1pm and the air conditioning was not working. Maintenance was called. they claimed it was fine. we moved rooms. it was still not working. We had to go to home depot and buy fans. We were there for an event otherwise we would have left. We had to sleep with the windows open. bugs then came into the room. they claim it is because of the renovations. we were not the only ones complaining. We had dogs with us they had to sleep in the since it was cooler outside than in the rooms. More than one person at our event complained to management/front desk about the ac not working. They did nothing. We have stayed at this hotel every year and it is not the best hotel around but it at least had ac in past. They appear to not be doing maintenance since they are "building a new" hotel. haha they have been saying that for 3 years.

Do your due diligence before booking a room here. Checked the website and booked the room because of a conference event being held there. One of two keys not working. Most disappointing is no heat on a 50 degree night. Call front desk - they offer no assistance regarding heat saying no heat this time of year. We asked for blankets. They brought 1 interior for a duvet which had no duvet cover , a burn mark on it and a torn edge with all the fluff hanging out… really ? Fridge freezer needs defrosting- fridge froze everything that was inside. Puddles of random water in hallways which was not cleaned up instead they just put down a traffic cone. Only reason we stayed is because of our event. Their website is deceiving. Save your money stay somewhere else.

It started off fine, in fact we were enjoying it so we extended our stay several times. However, we were called by “T” at 7:50am and told we needed to get out of our room bc they were having an event. Mind you, we just moved across country and had a ton of belongings. When I tried to explain that Larry, the GM was at the front desk the night before and secured this room for us and told us we didn’t have to move upon extending our stay. She told me that the GM couldn’t do anything about it bc he is not in sales and if me and my son were not out at 11 she was calling the Sherrif on us 😳 Absolutely the worst customer service. “T” should NOT be working in hospitality whatsoever. After this experience I will never be back and I’ll be sure to spread the word around torn about this place!

Parts are under renovation and quite messy, very poor wifi, leaky faucets, most outside doors inoperable from the outside with key card, inoperable windows for air. Breakfast was very good. Location was fine for our purposes, mall across driveway.
