Absolutely dreadful. Check in was appalling, chap on desk was on the phin whilst checking us in. I asked for a late checkout which was I willing to pay for but the charge was for an extra night, so I declined. The room seemed to be close to a generator or aircon unit and there was a constant noise during the night. Dinner in restaurant was poor, the saving grace was the charming waitress. The guys behind the bar were too busy chatting to each other and watching football to serve us. Breakfast was dreadful. The pastry basket consisted of a muffin which did not look appetising, a custard pastry which looked stale and the tiniest of croissants which had an ant crawling over it. The menu said the pastry basket came with jam and butter. It didn’t I had to ask for it and the jam when it did arrive was marmalade, Waitress seemed bored. The guy who checked us in came to speak to us as we were waiting to leave and asked how our stay was I gave him feedback, he asked us what time we checked out and I told him 10.30 which was what he told us. He said he told the receptionist that we could keep the room until 12 pm. Maybe he did but that wasn’t conveyed to us. Came here several times a number of years ago and it was a great hotel. Sadly not now. Won’t be back.

From the valet to the room and breakfast service. I had to go and park my own car after they failed. Perhaps the experience was terrible because we had vouched to stay there but none the less service is service. Location is great as it's in Sandton and the view is very good
