Spent a couple of days in this delightful hotel which if you like art has a wonderful collection of works curated by the owner, as well as lovely interiors. It’s like being in an art gallery with bedrooms behind doors. Good collection of books, too Yes, breakfast is not available but there are plenty of places nearby which means you can go at your own pace. Also appreciated being at the quieter end of the harbour. Hope to visit again

I had a pleasant stay here with two friends for one night. Our rooms were at the top of the hotel (very steep stairs so wouldn’t be ideal for elderly people or anybody that would struggle to carry their bags) Nice sized rooms with comfortable beds. The linen used for the beds were of good quality too. Clean room and clean bathroom. We visited on the hottest day of the year so far, so the rooms were extremely hot. But the owner kindly gave us some fans to use. We were able to open two windows which helped cool the room down in the evening. This really was a quick stay as we arrived quite late in the evening and left the hotel at around 7am. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on what that was like. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for our one night stopover.

We’re glad the fans and open windows helped keep you cool on such a hot day, and we appreciate your note about the stairs — we’re always happy to assist with luggage when needed. We hope to welcome you again for a longer visit next time.

We booked this a couple of months ago for one night on 15th August as we attended a wedding.. On the morning my partner got a text stating there was no parking at the hotel but you could park in a street nearby (if there were spaces) or pay to park. This would of been nice to have been stated at the time, rather than on the morning. When we got there at 3.20 there was a note on the door stating check in wasn't until 4pm, but all other hotels I have stayed in have let us check in early/leave bags at least. We rang the bell numerous times to be ignored and were then joined by another couple also wanting to check in. There was our party of 4 plus the other 2 left outside being ignored for a good 20 mins before we managed to get through to the number we had (it was 30 degrees and we had my partners elderly mum with us). When we got through the man was so rude who stated check in was 4pm and when asked if we could come in for a glass of water he just hung up the phone. When we got in he was not welcoming at all and when asking about cabs round the local area he wasn't willing to be very helpful and spoke to me like I was stupid. Another lady turned up to check in for us to hear her walk out telling the hotel owner to stick his room so he had obviously upset her too. The hotel itself was nice, room had everything we needed kettle shower comfy bed etc and the rooms were of decent size and some with sea views (we saw on the way to check out) but I assume these were more money as we didn't have that view. Nice decor and finishing touches and quirky little place. Not advised for elderly or disabled as a lot of stairs. If it wasn't for the guy working (I assume owner) I would stay again as it had some lovely little cafes with beautiful views not far but his customer service is disgusting and wouldn't give him our money again.

酒店回复: Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found your room comfortable and well-equipped, and that you enjoyed the décor, finishing touches, and the charm of the building and surrounding area. We are, however, truly sorry that your arrival experience did not feel welcoming. Check-in time is from 4pm, which is clearly stated on our booking confirmations, though we appreciate that many guests do arrive early and, wherever possible, we are happy to store luggage until rooms are ready. With regard to parking, details of the various options are listed both on our booking confirmations and on our website under the “Parking” tab. On the morning of arrival we also send guests a text reminder, which includes a What3Words link to some of the options, so that the information is handy to use on mobile. We are also disappointed to hear that you did not feel well looked after in your interactions with our team. Providing friendly and helpful service is something we pride ourselves on, and we are sorry this was not your impression. Your comments will be shared and addressed, as we want every guest to feel welcome and cared for. Thank you again for your review, which helps us to improve. We hope that, should you return to Ramsgate, you will consider giving us another chance to provide the warm and positive experience that most of our guests enjoy.

A very quirky hotel. No kitchen, no bar, and, having spent many years travelling for work, 150 night per year in hotels, this hotel is only really suitable for single night stays. Very poor attention to detail, winter duvets on bed in July with no other apparent options, minimal tea and coffee,4,in room caddy with no decaf option,no drinking water provided either. The desk fan in the room was not up to the job. Amazing view of the harbour though.

酒店回复: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the hotel’s unique style and the amazing harbour view. As a room-only hotel, we don’t have a kitchen or bar, and our setup is designed to give guests flexibility to enjoy local cafés, bars, and restaurants. We note your comments on bedding, in-room refreshments, and cooling. Lighter duvets are available on request, as are extra tea and coffee (including decaf). We no longer provide bottled water in rooms for environmental reasons, but fresh drinking water is always available. All rooms have fans, though we’ll review whether higher-capacity models may be beneficial in warmer weather. We appreciate your detailed observations and will take them into account as we continue to improve.

I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Royal Harbour Hotel over the August Bank Holiday, and loved my sea view room. The room was clean and well put together. The management was amazingly friendly and helpful. Well located near the town centre, it was a great place to stay to enjoy the Ramsgate Festival of Sound. The most unique part of the hotel is the amazing art collection and books everywhere. It was like living in an art gallery and book store all at once, which was a lovely experience. The artwork is well curated and there is even an online website describing the art, celebrating the collection they put together over the years. Very special indeed. Highly recommend this hotel and I will choose it again if I visit lovely Ramsgate again.

It is breathtaking how much a hotel can charge for a poky little room at the top of a precipitous staircase with a window overlooking the industrial port area of Ramsgate harbour. On its website, this looks like a boutique hotel but in the flesh, it looks like it needs a re-vamp and a fresh approach to management and hospitality. On arrival, we could not even locate the manager to check in and had to wait almost 15 minutes before he appeared. At least this provided an opportunity to admire the idiosyncratic and eclectic collection of art that hangs in almost every available wall space. Our room had a peculiar collection of what can only be called "maritime art" and a chair with a large cigarette burn in the middle. The Royal Harbour felt a bit "Fawlty Towers" without the bad jokes. The high cost, poor hospitality, lack of breakfast and early morning check out time did not endear it and I will not be going back.
