Room had a smell to it. I had to open a window to let some fresh smell in. The smell would come back after i closed the window. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. It was not a quiet stay. I could hear the foot steps from the room above me. Front desk was nice.

Unfriendly staff, dirty linens, bad hours
We were told the wrong information about early check in and had to wait 40 mins in the lobby as our first impression. It took us several minutes to even find a person who worked there every time we had a question. The pool hours were only till 7, which is absurd. The room had dirty linens and zero accomodations (no gym, no lobby bathroom even). Breakfast was terrible.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast had hot items as well as cereal and packaged pasteries. The room was austere but comfortable, and the pillows were plump, but the air conditioner was loud. Denny's is right next door when you need a convenient restaurant.

Very few breakfast options. No juice, yogurt, or bread available. Disappointed with breakfast. We have stayed at Comfort Inn many times in the past and a decent breakfast was always available as well as afternoon treats and refreshments for guests. Nothing offered in Gilroy.
