Overall, the customer service was great everyone was friendly and helpful. However, housekeeping could definitely be better. There was a strange smell we couldn’t figure out at first, and it turned out the trash under the kitchen sink hadn’t been emptied from a previous stay. Also, the breakfast area could’ve been cleaner, there was food on the floor and on the counter.

The staff was great. The food was really good. The room was very spacious. First night there was a drip in the air conditioner and in the morning they did move us to a new room. Very accommodating for their issue in the room.

Residence Inn is the ideal hotel if one is visiting Ruby Memorial Hospital or Mountaineer Field. Both are walking distance. The room itself is good sized and extremely comfortable. The staff were overly helpful and the free breakfast was very good. If there were one area I feel should be addressed it is that the televisions in the guest rooms do not always connect to the hotel's wifi. For that reason, the hotel has purchased Ruku sticks which they offer to guests. The guest service employee, a friendly younger lady, who brought the device to our room remained for nearly an hour trying to get it to work properly. While I was able to hide it better, my child made it clear he would prefer she just leave. Totally not her fault... she was just trying to help... we were never able to get the Ruku to work correctly and for the rest of our stay, I had to turn the tv on and off and adjust the volume using the button on the tv itself... which was a single button that had to be toggled between settings. Given we were only staying one night, this was not a big deal. For guests with extended stays, that would not be ideal. Wouldn't addressing the issue with the televisions themselves ultimately be a better solution?

The coffee maker in our room did not work, the shower gel and conditioner dispensers were low enough to run out after one or three adults showered, and there were no linens for the sofa bed or sufficient towels for three people.
