Great staff. Large rooms are available for families (thus was our case). Three bathrooms were available, one kitchen and one fridge. There are regular evening activities through the week. People meet around the dining table and discuss. (You can stay in your room as well if you wish). In any case, we enjoyed very much that communal spirit.

Casa Verdi is a very special place. The people who run it provide an exceptionally warm and welcoming environment, which in turn generates a real sense of camaraderie among the guests. It's not only a lovely old building with high ceilings and a courtyard situated in the old town of Catania, it's also where I made some delightful connections with other guests and friendships which I'm looking forward to continuing. For me, that's what staying in a hostel is all about. Additionally, the place is clean and tidy and stacked with books! Fabulous.

Excellent place to stay, highlight of the trip really. More like staying at a friends house than a hostel. Made to feel very welcome by the staff who we became friends with in the end. Conveniently placed in a good distance from everything you need. A real gem

Pleasantly surprised by the hospitality at Casa Verdi. Many volunteers, but they make an effort to include newcomers. Excellent facilities like hot showers and WiFi, but also there is a well-equipped kitchen and sufficient space to relax or socialize. No bunkbeds. The place is kept very clean. Free fresh fruit and vegetables! Location is less than 10 minutes on foot from the airportbus stop at Via Etnea. There is room for improving noise management. Perhaps guests could be urged to pack their stuff prior to silence hours and not in the middle of the night. Stayed one week.
