While the property itself was charming, our experience at Sully Mansion was soured by the host’s extreme inflexibility during severe weather conditions. To avoid being stranded due to an unprecedented snowstorm, where the interstates were shut down and all flights were canceled, we had to leave a day earlier than planned. Despite these circumstances, the host refused to refund us for the last night of our four-night stay, insisting on their rigid cancellation policy. It’s highly unusual for a hospitality business to prioritize profits over guest safety, and it left us feeling taken advantage of during an already stressful situation. What makes it even more frustrating is that full payment was required at the time of booking, making it an uphill battle to cancel or recoup any money. While the accommodations were pleasant, minor issues such as the lack of a chair at the desk, a lackluster shower, and a noisy dehumidifier that woke us up at night took away from the overall comfort. These shortcomings might have been easier to overlook at a lower price point, but for what we paid — on par with luxury hotels — expectations were much higher. Ultimately, despite the appealing aspects of the property, the host’s unwillingness to accommodate us during unforeseen circumstances makes staying here too much of a risk to recommend. Travel plans don’t always go perfectly, and when you’re paying a premium, you expect some level of understanding and flexibility. Sadly, that’s not what we found at Sully Mansion, and would strongly urge folks considering a stay to look into other options.

酒店回复: Thank you for your review. As the owner and custodian of this beautiful historic place, I have established the set of policies that we have in place to ensure we can survive as a small, family-owned business, and that we have the financial means to continue maintaining this beautiful mansion and grounds. This is why we require review and signature of our policies prior to finalizing any online booking. You were not the only guest whose plans changed this weekend, yet you were the only one demanding a refund.

We had a long weekend wedding here and all I can say is “perfection” From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The beds were super comfy, the breakfasts were delicious, the venue itself is gorgeous. The wedding was on the grounds which were decorated beautifully and the weather was perfect. I wish we could do it all again! Highly recommend if you want a small, intimate wedding experience.

Staying at the Sully Mansion is like staying at a fantastic turn of the century mansion that was owned by your best friends! The rooms are all fabulous and appointed with all the amenities commensurate with a 5 star resort. The service is impeccable, beginning with the gourmet breakfast with pastries from the best bakeries in town. The added plus is the location in the Garden District, the most beautiful concentration of Ante Bellum mansions and historic houses anywhere in the country.

I stayed in the Royal over Christmas. The room and the Inn are just as beautiful as the photos make it seem and Andrea is an amazing host! The location is fantastic too. Right next door to The Rink shopping area and a half block to the St. Charles Streetcar. Half a block in the other direction is Lafayette Cemetery #1 and Commander's Palace. If you want a quieter and more laid-back experience, but close access to all the fun of the French Quarter, this is the perfect spot!

Clean, Comfortable, Safe, Quiet, Private and Welcoming, not to mention the Location was perfect. A short walk to the St. Charles streetcar (to get to the French Quarter or Audubon Park). The owner was delightful, mindful, accommodating and is very hands on. The attention to detail was fabulous...as was breakfast! This is not for those who want to party all night or who are on a tight budget. We highly recommend Sully's.

Just a lovely place. Spacious rooms with enough drawers, chairs, tables, etc to put away items and keep items on "table" tops. The owner is very gracious and caring. The breakfasts were different every day -- and we enjoyed them every day. Plus, there are snacks out for when you just want something light.

Where do you even begin? The Sully Mansion, with Andrea, was a dream come true for my daughter's weekend wedding celebration. The Sully Mansion is a beautiful historic home located in the Garden District. The area is scenic, safe, and ideal for morning walks. Andrea provided a turnkey service for my daughter's wedding, which exceeded her wildest dreams. Our family all stayed at the Sully Mansion and flew in from all around to celebrate this weekend. From the minute they arrived, they were welcomed with outstanding hospitality. All events--from rehearsal to the wedding, to a fun day in New Orleans--took place at the Sully Mansion. The food was superb, from the morning breakfast to the plated dinner at the wedding. Andrea even gave an engaging cooking demonstration featuring her banana foster (highly recommended). Every single vendor that Andrea booked, from the photographer to the 2nd line band, to bar service, to food, to the videographer, was exceptional. The list goes on. In essence, she shaped the wedding of my daughter's dreams based on a vision my daughter shared with her during our calls.

Everything--the room, bed, pillows, towels, robes, breakfasts, was fabulous. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings and early evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back the next time we visit New Orleans. Thank you, Susan

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at The Sully Mansion. The visit exceeded our expectations. This is a charming, old and beautifully decorated grand house located in the Garden District, conveniently a block away from my fave bookstore at the Rink Shopping Center. It’s a safe and scenic area with easy parking and ideal for walking around and exploring. We stayed in the St. Charles suite which was roomy and comfortable. I love the wrap-around veranda and could sit in a rocking chair people-watching, reading or admiring the huge live oak for hours! My favorite parts of our visit were the yummy breakfasts we had daily and meeting the owner, Andrea, who is so lovely and accommodating. A lucky find and we will definitely be back!
