We very much appreciated an upgrade to Dove Cottage for our three night stay in Whitby. This gave us comfortable accommodation and space to relax with all the amenities that we could have hoped for. Location is perfect & within easy 5-10 minutes walk of everything, 199 steps, harbour, restaurants, shops, car parks etc. Parking is always an issue in Whitby. The Church St CP was full 24/7 for the three days we were there. I luckily got a space after 5 minutes wait when we arrived mid-afternoon on Thursday and kept that space until Saturday morning. When I came back mid afternoon I waited 25 minutes but no space became available. Around 2o cars came & went in that time looking for a space. I did then get the last space available at the Marina CP.

Just come back from a couple of nights at Sanders Yard with my wife and we had a fantastic stay. Lovely clean spacious room and bathroom located directly opposite the market place off Church Street close to all amenities and a steady 5 minute walk across the bridge into the centre of Whitby and along to the beach and pier. Only negative was the hard mattress which wasn’t as comfortable as expected, but that is a personal preference I guess. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Stayed in the attic bedroom on Christmas Day it was so cold on arrival (lunchtime)we had to ask when the heating would go on which apparently would be later in the day. The beams are so low I smacked my head on them more than 6 times(I’m 5ft7) and had to keep a light on in the night so you could see them. Bathroom only bath and couldn’t use as cold water. Had to get up at 6.30am to get dressed as so cold and went for a walk. Heating didn’t come on until 7.45am in the middle of winter. Steps into bedroom are steep and only have a rail to one side and the other side is open. Ruined my time there

Stayed in the Old Chocolate Shop, Sander's Yard on Church Street, Whitby. Becca and Ian were most helpful and accommodating in settling us into this property at short notice. The property is charming, and tastefully decorated throughout. Three three seater leather sofas, a good sized TV and wi-fi ensure one can indeed 'chill' in comfortable , spacious surroundings. We slept in the double bedroom with onsuite facilities and a charming view out over the historic market Square and beyond to the West Cliffe. The kitchen/Diner is well appointed and obviously well maintained. Would highly recommend. Plenty of room for a family booking. PS. It has the easiest to follow instructions for the central heating I have ever come across in airb&b accommodation.

Had a couple of nights in this lovely little room, nice comfy bed and pillows. Shower was a decent one, toiletries provided too. All very clean, plenty of tea and coffee provided. Getting our keys and checking out simple, owners provided a number if any contact was required. We used the downstairs restaurant both mornings and had a lovely breakfast. Ideal location for walking about, we parked at the Abbey, maybe not ideal for all, but can unload close by. Will certainly try and book again.
