Cannot recommend this place enough… situated conveniently amongst the shops, restaurants and amusements, this little guesthouse goes above and beyond in every way. Probably the best hash browns we have ever tasted; super friendly hosts; and some lovely little touches in the room.

I really enjoyed my most recent stay at The Old Town Guest House, located right in the heart of historic Hastings. Its owner, Tracey, is as welcoming as ever and cooks the best Full English, on the south coast, as well as lighter fare as crepes. The guest house itself is currently being refurbished but is still open for guests. The work did not detract from the enjoyment of my stay. Some have written about the stairs in the building. There are a number of them. I'm in my 70s and can manage them. Just take them one at a time.. Looking for a good value guest house in the centre of Hastings Old Town? You couldn't do better than visit The Old Town Guest House, I have for more than 10 years.

Tracey was a brilliant hostess: friendly, helpful and always cheery. The breakfasts were excellent and while the room was somewhat compact, it had everything you need, including a very comfy bed!
Stairs were a challenge, especially to one who has dodgy knees! Also, parking is an issue, although there is a dropping off zone. In all, a lovely stay and would return when next in Hastings.

Tracey was a great host - full of information and very easy to chat to. We stayed in room 7 which was excellent - no issues for us As mentioned previously stairs might be a problem for some and the decor on the way up to the rooms was quite poor but I was not staying on the stairs so didn’t worry about that Great location for us and a bit of a pain to walk from the car park but Hastings hotels all seem to have the same problem Overall really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again if we returned to Hastings

No free parking or parking allowed anywhere in old town, had to use pay parking a 10 min walk away, which we were not aware of when booking.
Bedroom was small, ensuite decent. The included breakfast was excellent. Host was very good.

Another wonderful stay with Tracy. Tracy is a fantastic host, breakfast is delicious and the guest house is very welcoming. Plus it’s in a superb location.

We stayed for three nights here and really enjoyed it. Tracey is such a friendly host and makes great breakfasts! What I really liked were little extras in the room, such as a fan, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel), and bottled water. The beds were very comfy. Finally, the location of this guesthouse is brilliant for the old town and the beach.
