The front desk staff was diligent, friendly, and professional. I wish that extended to other areas of the hotel, but it did not.
1. Room was clean except for crumpled tissue on the floor and rings on the end table. Kind of disgusting, but because I was there for one night and arrived exhausted, I didn't call because I had work to do and didn't want them to send up housekeeping or move my room.
2. Bar was not too busy, but when I went down for a glass of wine, the bartender didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. I don't need immediate service, but it felt like he was going out of his way to make eye contact. A simple, "be right with you" would have gone a long way. I also watched him dip the shaker in ice, which is also kind of gross.
3. This is nothing the staff can fix, but the walls and ceilings are not anywhere close to soundproof. I heard everything above me and next to me — including someone else's early morning phone alarm.
I've stayed at Aloft before and typically they're more than adequate. Unfortunately, this one was acceptable but not much else. Definitely not worth the $250 for the evening. I realize it was Tom Petty weekend but if you can't manage to clean a room and you know your hotel isn't going to offer people a good night's sleep because the walls are thin, maybe adjust the prices?

The room was not clean when I arrived. The shower had mold and grime.The tile floor hadn't been cleaned for awhile. You could see build up in the corners of thw room.Certain areas also need repair.
