We have gone to other RIU’s and the tequila does not live up to the other two. Pools were terrible very unsafe. Pools were always low and below the skimming vents. Many times the circulating pumps were not even on. Would go to other resorts before returning to tequila.

All in all the property and amenities were good. We didn’t expect 5 star accommodations so we were satisfied with almost everything. What decided our rating was related to a member of our party having a good allergy. We were very clear there was an allergy to avacado. Imagine our surprise when she was served soup that contained avacado! Another member of our party found it in their bowl and brought it to the server’s attention and asked about it. He conferred with another server and said “oh, that was a mistake” and just carried on. No concern for what reaction she would have, if she needed medical attention, just cleared the plate and carried on. It’s just super irresponsible and dangerous. Especially when we explicitly stated there was an allergy.

Well kept resort with lovely staff. Food options average. Pool and beach access great! Rooms and A/C great! Entertainment for all. Quiet and walkable safe gated Playacar neighborhood. Walkable or short taxi to 5th Ave or local restaurants/shops.

Overall perfect for just 3 days. Anything more would be repetitive, but lots of activities
