Dirty, grubby, less than basic. Pub just across the road and is very noisy. We walked in, and promptly walked out again. Don't waste your money.

My room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Chloe was very welcoming and the location is ideal. Everything is a short walk away. Balloch itself is a charming location and the scenery is stunning. There's a vast choice of places to drink and dine. I would stop here again

We had a nice, wee break at The Anchorage last weekend. You won’t find a more handily placed guest house to stay in if you’re visiting Balloch. However, we did have a few issues with our room. The double bed was really uncomfortable, it definitely needs a new mattress. The room itself was small and you had to move sideways to get into the bed. There was no table and chairs either, you just couldn’t fit them in. Lastly, the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything coming from the room next door. When we spoke to Chloe the owner at check in she did mention that they had plans to extend our room next year. After staying in it, we could see why. We would probably stay at The Anchorage again, but it would need to be in a bigger room. Chloe, who runs the place is really nice and enthusiastic and had a few good recommendations. The place itself was spotless and well decorated. They don’t provide breakfast but for the price we paid, it was good value for money.

Chloe was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, and the hot tub was clean and at a perfect temperature The location is perfect to explore the local area, the loch, the castle, or a stepping stone to further a field The price was also great

This is a great Guesthouse. The hosts Chloe and her husband are very attentive. Always answer messages timely and nothing is to much trouble. I have stayed here at least 5+ and will always return. Parking available. Extra towels at reception. Keysafe late entry.

A really comfortable bright and clean room with a lovely host in a beautiful location, across the street from a well stocked shop and a fish and chip shop. 5 minutes walk from Loch lomond and all other amenities less than 10 minutes walk. Our room had a hot tub and our host Chloe showed us how to work the controls etc properly and she is very friendly and welcoming. Most comfortable bed and pillows ive slept in for a long time! Don't let the main road location put you off, it was so quiet we never heard any traffic or other noise at all. It was a really amazing stay in a lovely guest house and we will definitely stay there again next time we are visiting the area.

This guest house is beautifully located on a main road walking distance to everything. With it’s location being on a main road you may be concerned about noise- but it was not noisy at all for me. The hostess Chloe is beyond exceptional- she exceeded expectations in every area for me. If she lived near me I would want to hire her based on her standard of customer service. The rooms are basic but suited my needs. I was provided with extra blankets on request- being from Australia I found their Spring weather a tad cold. The room was exceptionally clean. I would not only recommend this guest house- I would stay here if I was in town again!
