Arrived to check in today, hotel closed, sign on the door from Blackpool Council confirming it has been closed for serious health and safety violations, look through the windows and the lounge is filled with bedroom furniture, looks like they are getting ready to do a moonlight flit. Outbooked to a sister hotel (check out Skye Ocean Hotel) Serious avoid anything owned by this company if you have any self respect

it was entirely filthy , broken shower , no hot water, no heating , broken beds , fake photos on booking websites from many years before when the previous owner was there , dodgy electrical sockets that spark on use , dirty cups , funny smell to the water, inadequate plumbing for the toilet , broken towel hook, broken toilet roll holder, mouldy sealant , wallpaper falling off the walls , dirty carpet , seals on windows inadequate. Making the room so cold you had to have thick coats on at all times. No fire extinguishers, inadequate lighting. Pungent smell on entering and threw out. One prohibition notice in July issued to them by Blackpool council forcing closure , but they were still taking booking all the way to October. With the notice being removed at the end of September , with the EXACT same issues returning less than 4 weeks later. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The hotel on arrival looked run down on the outside but we looked beyond that and entered to be greeted by a very disheartened guy behind a counter. Checked in and paid for 2 days parking then headed to the room (after walking past a divan bed at bottom of stairs and a base wheel on the stairs (hazard). Well I don't know where to start other than it was horrendous, plaster was coming off walls directly onto pillows, pieces of wall missing, no taps heads on but filled with water (possible HnS issue). Dirty bedding, sockets not fitted properly. Went downstairs to advise the guy we would not be staying as it was not fit for purpose to which he agreed. Partner went to the bar (term used loosely) to be told no pumps were in use, only Stella bottles and Desperados available or Vodka with full fat lemonade. Ko diet drinks at all and given she is a T1 diabetic not suitable oh and no ice (minor). Whilst at the bar a couple came to ask when the lights would be repaired as it was in darkness to be advised it had been reported to the owner who lives in Liverpool and clearly takes no responsibility for the upkeep of this establishment. The guy behind the counter (same as one on check in) was in tears as he stated he had simply had enough. We got a refund for the parking and left after sourcing alternative accommodation. I will let the pictures speak for themselves !

Negatives Mouldy and covered in cobwebs. It smells of mould and disuse. The toilet only flushed on the second flush. The kettle can only be plugged in on the floor as the cord is too short. No towels what so ever. Heating cannot be turned down or off. Ceiling in the bathroom has a huge piece removed revealing the above room. Alarms going off at silly o clock. We can hear people walking in the rooms above very clearly and the pipe works including a non stop drip. Positives Location Dirt cheap

Fine if you're drunk I suppose. However, our room had no hot water and the shower didn't work at all. There were also numerous unidentifiable stains all over the walls! We were only there for one night, so didn't kick up a fuss, but looking back, we should have done. The big plus there was no sign of bed bugs that some others have mentioned, and the bedding was clean, but you can get better for the same money.

Booked 2 rooms as one for my mum and dad, when we arrived managed to get a car park space then I parked mums car 3-4 mins walk away £11 for 24 hours so not bad, the man on reception was so friendly, gave mum a lower room as I requested, lift not working (hence lower score, sorry) I suppose if it’s being done up then am sure will be sorted eventually, yes the rooms are a bit dated but as long as it’s clean (which it was) we not bothered as we were going to a friends birthday, so was just for a base to sleep and wash, would stay again give the guys a chance!!! Am sure they will smash this place!, we had a lovely sea view room as requested too ❤️ We walked to the promenade cafe 2 minutes down the road (left at the Daish hotel) gorgeous English breakfast there as well
