The cabin needed cleaning and updating. The outlets in the cabin didn’t work well, some of the microwave buttons also didn’t work properly. There were dust bunnies underneath the bed.

Hidden gem!
I absolutely loved this place! It was rustic and charming. The check-in was so easy, as was check-out. Communication from the owners was terrific. The location was quiet and it was nice to sit on the porch and listen to the creek. The outside of the cabins might need a little TLC.
The bonus was the history of this place! People used to come from all over in the late 1800's and early 1900's to drink water from the spring, which was said to have healing properties. The hotel that used to be there burned down, but the cabins remain. What was cool was that I read about Healing Springs (the old hotel) in a museum display years ago and it was such a a cool surprise to learn that these cabins are one in the same. I would definitely stay here again and I've already recommended it to friends.
Oh! And you can go get yourself some water from the spring while you're there!

Peaceful, friendly down-home vibe unlike any other. Homey, safe, family feel in every way. Love what the ‘new’ owners are doing to improve and honor the traditions of this very historic retreat. I came here first as a child, before the old hotel burned, and have known it through the decades. We will be back! Thank you, Sandy and partners! 💙

the area was pretty but the cabin itself was smaller than expected. the pictures showed a full house but our cabin was just a room. it was unexpected and i felt catfished. the bathroom wouldn’t lock or close and the toilet wouldn’t flush and had an issue. the cabin itself wasn’t cleaned and was a little dirty

A little business A little pleasure
I was on a business trip but made it a personal relaxing trip for myself. The Cabins at Healing Springs did not disappoint. On my list of places to return to again.

We stayed in the "Duck" cabin. It was clean and decorated cute. The layout was a little strange. The TV was on the dinette table so it was not usable to eat at. A microwave is sitting on the sink and coffee pot/toaster on top of that. Just glad there was one of each. There is a full size refrigerator & stove. Not all cabins have these so read the description when choosing your cabin. It had a musky smell inside and the use of candles wasn't allowed. I would recommend opening windows to air out on arrival date. There are porch chairs. That was nice. All the cabins are a very short distance to the road which was a little too close and could hear every car passing. The claw foot tub was nice though the water had a rusty smell. We couldn't get either fireplace to light but there was alternative baseboard heaters. The website states this is a farm and you could purchase meats in the lodge but we didn't see any of the belted Calloway cattle or chickens and there was no meat for sale as described. We farm so this was what brought us to stay and was looking forward to buying a steak for dinner to grill. There are many close restaurants though. The history and water well was a sweet touch so we would still recommend staying here especially for the price.

The cabins at Healing Springs is a wonderfully quiet and old world place. It still has the old charm with newer amenities! Very reasonably priced. I stayed in the Acorn cabin. It has a comfy bed, new loveseat, clawfoot tub. The owner is great!
