Highland Lake Inn is wonderful, and the innkeepers are extraordinary! I stayed there while attending a conference 10 min away at Proctor (great alternative for GRCs). The location is very nice, across the street from the lake and steps from a nice hiking trail. It was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was delightful. The innkeepers went above and beyond, making sure I was comfortable not only at their place, but also helping me with getting to and from my conference and making sure I had everything I needed -- they became my adopted grandparents for the weekend.

Terrific B&B. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable place to eat our take-out dinner. The breakfast was wonderful - granola, custom eggs, fresh fruit. The bed was comfortable and the setting was peaceful.
