Luxurious B&B with a historic touch. We had it all to ourselves and we enjoyed the feeling of being gentry in this Mansion.
Jackie and Charlie were great and very warm hosts, we felt welcome and could relax with all the amenities that are available.

Wow, this is a beautiful place to stay. Built in the late 1800s, it has been lovingly restored and furnished. Our large room opened onto a broad central hallway, with beautiful stained glass at either end, and an eclectic display of art collected by the owner. At the back of the house you move seamlessly from 1890 into 2022, with a large and fantastically equipped designer kitchen opening onto a large conservatory overlooking the garden. Although our stay was in the middle of winter the house was warm, with several heat pumps and a fireplace, plus underfloor heating in the ensuite. Our bedroom was very comfortable, and although the ensuite was compact, it had a generously proportioned shower. The house is a short walk from the centre of town, and is in a very quiet location. We will definitely be staying here again!

The b&b was fantastic. Large comfortable rooms, the whole house is beautifully decorated with eclectic furnishings and art works. The host was friendly and helpful. You are made to feel at home and given wine and breakfast offerings. Loved it.

The house and especially the gardens are lovely. We stayed in the Red Room, which has a nice bathroom and the largest bathroom in the house. The room is very dark and although we understand that soft lighting is in line with the decor of the house, several of the side lamps were not functional and it was difficult and somewhat dangerous to move around in the darkness. The biggest dissapointment was the breakfast. We had read about the fresh fruit, eggs and croissants for breakfast but what Jackie made available to us was an assortment of bread loaf ends that had been stored in the freezer for us to toast along with a fruit salad comprised of mainly overly sweet canned fruit and this was in the middle of summer where fresh fruit is abundant in the markets! Westport has amazing bakeries and fresh bread and/or pastries rather than old frozen bread ends would have made a huge differnce in our overall experience. Bathroom linens were sparse and since the hosts don't live at the house, there was no opportunity to request an additional bath towel or wash cloth.
