We wanted an affordable overnight stay as we traveled through northern Alabama. We found it at the Clarion point hotel in Decatur. We are very pleased with this hotel. It is newly remodeled and super clean. The proprietor of this hotel takes real pride and has achieved a nice flair in his decorating style and has thoughtfully included all of the items an overnight traveler might need, but are seldom truly accomplished. Free breakfast is well accomplished. It does not include eggs, but your kids are gonna love the waffles because every topping is included. The coffee is excellent in the breakfast area and it’s pretty good in the rooms too. The bed was really comfortable! The TB worked readily and the picture was very good. Anyhow, you get the point. You’ll be pleased with this.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I felt like this little hotel needed one. We booked the room while traveling as we didn't know how far we would want to drive before stopping. Decided Decatur AL was a good stopping point and found the hotel on Google. Good reviews but not many. This hotel just reopened a few months ago after a massive remodel. I was very impressed! I feel like there's a stigma about "motels" with exterior entries. Wrong. The check-in and check-out process was so easy. The manager Vinnie was amazing! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Ray of sunshine. The rooms were very nice & clean, no comments about the beds, bathroom, cleanliness, or anything else! Quiet area (although I don't know much about Decatur so this may be normal). Overall great experience.

WONDERFUL staff!! GREAT rooms!! Came down from Michigan and stayed 2 nights here. A/C stopped in the middle of the night and Vinnie was there to help in an instant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Gentleman was extremely hospitable and accommodating! He communicated well and gave us recommendations on where to eat! He made sure or room was satisfactory. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences on our long road trip. The room was modern, with an awesome touchscreen mirror! You could tell everything was recently renovated. Decatur is also a very pretty and nice looking area. Everything is very close to the hotel! It was also easy to get back on the high way too. Thank you

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. This hotel is in transition from a Motel 6 to a Comfort Inn. Hotel should not have been opened but the manager refused to cancel my reservations. They offered no breakfast or business center. They didn't even have their computer system in operation. They wrote my information on a Motel 6 reservations pad. The manager Vinnie should not be in hospitality. I did report them to the Choice Hotel corporate office as the above information was not listed on their website.
