I recently stayed at Edendale House, Southport. Everything about it was good. I found it to be very clean and well looked after and cared for establishment. My room, a single ensuite, was a good size and comfortable. The good sized TV even had catch-up options, which was very useful. All the furniture and fittings within the room, were in excellent condition. At breakfast time, there was an excellent range of options available. You start off with a sort of continental selection, then you can choose from the hot food selection. All the food was of good quality. All in all, I had no complaints whatsoever. I opted to stay at Edendale House due to the sheer number of good reviews I had read and I was pleased that I decided to stay. It was a quiet stay, no noise from anywhere and that was what I was hoping to find. I plan to stay again in 2026.

Josie was very friendly and welcoming. Very attentive and couldnt do enough. We were offered a much needed hot drink on arrival which was brought to our room. Our room was very clean, more than enough tea, coffee etc, it even had dressing gowns. Little touches of Usb points on plugs and even a little chocolate each. We felt veey welcomed.

Excellent service and the room was very clean with fresh clean towels & tea making facilities. All hallways/stairs areas clean including the dining room. Excellent choice of breakfast including cereals fresh fruit & juices, full hearty English breakfast was very nice plenty of tea & freshly made coffee. Free car parking on the driveway. Pubs and restaurants nearby but a good 10 minutes walk away.

The excellent reviews are well deserved. We've just had another excellent stay at Edendale, which has everything we need for a relaxing long weekend. Josie is a wonderful, thoughtful host, attentive but not intrusive. Comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean, peaceful & cosy nights' sleep followed by an excellent breakfast choice. Plenty of hot water for showers, good tv and wifi, plus free parking and an honesty fridge. It's faultless and we look forward to our visit every year. Thank you Josie and Ian.

Very nice and relaxing stay.Josie was very informative and helpful. Pub up the road gives 10% off when hotel is mentioned - food was lively. Unfortunately I left early mornings before breakfast but Josie was kind enough to leave a pastry selection for me. Slept like a log every night,parking was easy - would definitely recommend.

What a FABULOUS establishment. Lovely accommodation - great food at breakfast - extremely hospitable and friendly staff. This B&B has very comfortable beds and rooms and the whole establishment is furnished beautifully. The great thing about the location is that it is an easy train ride into Liverpool, and a great alternative to staying in Liverpool City itself. This guesthosue is highly recommended. Please bear in mind though, as is usually the case with many Inn's and Band B's in the uK - stairs are steep and narrow in buildings that were built in the 1700 or 1800's but that's part of the charm. Not an issue but just carry one bag up or down the stairs at a time.

Don't usually use guest houses,prefer hotels but nowt up with this one.Went on a lads weekend,everything spotless and lovely breakfast,fruit,cereals & quality full English,nice hostess Josie.

Friendly welcome from Josie and Ian to their lovely B&B set in a quiet location with on site parking. Spotlessly clean room, great shower. Lots of choice on breakfast menu, with nothing too much trouble. Nice touch with free little bottles of fresh milk in the honesty fridge. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Southport.
