The staff was wonderful. The room was decent but had wear and tear. My main complaint was the pool area was filthy, mold on the walls of the pool, jets in hot tub didnt work and overall was just dirty. We typically always stay somewhere with a pool for the kids and we swam for less than 30 minutes before I made everyone go shower.

Friendly staff, location appeared to be safe. Rooms do need to be updated, furniture broken and old.

It was kept clean and different types of food were available. It was the standard type that is usually found in hotel breakfast offerings.

We left
We picked a room with a sofa bed to accommodate our family. We went to 3 different rooms where all of the sofa mattresses were stained with blood, and dirt. The sofa cushions were ripped and dust was accumulated on top of the back of the sofa in one of the roomsThe room was run down- stains and holes on the carpet. Bathroom looked rough too. We ended up leaving. . The woman at the desk was so nice and seemed shocked herself that the sofa beds were in that condition. She tried to find us a clean room. We ended up leaving after the third room we went to was also run down.

Terrible. Couldn’t even check in. Pulled up and the entire parking lot was blocked off and surrounded by swat. Police everywhere with guns drawn. The hotel was evacuated. Everyone was standing outside. We watched as the swat team went in in full armor with shields and a door buster. No way were we staying there with 2 kids! And icing on the cake, we still haven’t received a refund. DO NOT stay here! Upon further investigation there has been a homicide there before, a guy was arrested there for child enticement just a few weeks ago. They can make any hotel look good online… don’t be duped like us. Stay far far away!

酒店回复: While I am very sorry you arrived during the time that another guest was having a mental health crisis, the building was cleared to return to and back open by 1:30PM when check in is not until 3pm. You also could have called and let us know you were not staying and we would have waived your cancellation at no charge due to the situation, like we did with other guests. Or at the very least contacted ******* and had them reach out to us. I have started the refund process for you this morning, but it doesn't just happen right away when you book 3rd party. There is a process to handle that. Also don't believe everything you read online, there is 2 Residence Inn's in Cedar Rapids and no one was arrested here for child enticement EVER! So please do not spread lies when you do not know the actual facts. As for respect for the guest's family who was dealing with a tragic crisis, I please ask you to have some consideration as to what you post online by leaving responses like this, knowing that it is visible to everyone including the family themselves and they are already embarrassed and distraught over the entire thing.

Elevator wasn’t working, outdated hotel that needs a refresh. Front desk staff was very friendly and so was the lady at breakfast.

Gross Rooms
This is the dirtiest place I’ve ever seen. It was so dirty and worn out and gross! We couldn’t stay there :( There was feces on the bedding, floors had holes in it, very dirty you couldn’t sit in furniture, couches were broken and fireplaces didn’t work. We looked at switching rooms to 2 other rooms and all the same :(. Very disappointed!! Would not recommend people staying here as every room was disgusting!!
