I made a reservation for two nights and paid for two nights when we arrived. We went down to have breakfast the next morning before we left to go to mass as it was Sunday...there was no breakfast...nothing, not even someone looking like they were getting ready to prepare. So, we left with no breakfast and after attending mass went to the event that brought us to the area. While at the event, someone from the hotel left a voicemail stating that we were only supposed to be there one night and the staff reported that there were personal belongings left in the room...despite having paid in advance for two nights. After the event, we went back and picked up our belongings and left for Nashville to be closer to the airport for our early flight home. There was no mention of a refund for the additional night that we were not using or even a partial refund since our belongings remained in the room after the check-out period. Also, no compensation or even an apology for having no breakfast even though it was stated that the breakfast was an advertised amenity. Overall, the room was clean, and the staff was pleasant; we just feel that we did not get what we paid for. Sadly, we have family in the area and if the experience had been up to par we would have stayed at this property on future trips but that will not happen now. We were disappointed.

Exceeded expectations
This was my first time staying at a Holiday Inn Express and it not o my net, but exceeded expectations. From the moment I entered the lobby, the facility was clean and smelled cleaned. The room was very clean and most of the staff was very friendly.

This is a good stay if you are looking for somewhere to stay near Florence area. Close to downtown and very close to retail stores and restaurants. The only downside about this is that the room we stayed in was not well ventilated and it was pretty muggy and humid in our room during our stay.

The rooms are spacious and I liked the quality of the covers on the bed. The free breakfast had many options and there's a fresh ground coffee machine in the lobby you can use anytime. The cleaning staff was very kind and gave me a bar of soap to use because I didn't want to use the dispensers. It's in a location with a lot of chains, close to a WalMart, not super picturesque but convenient.
