The room was clean looking, but it smelled like sour clothes. And the air conditioning unit didn’t blow super cold, which was unfortunate considering we are in the heat of summer in Louisiana. Staff was nice though, and the breakfast was decent.

The only noteworthy "good" thing about this location is that the other motels in Oakdale, LA are WORSE. What I didn't like is that the DirecTV satellite box is fastened to the wall behind the dresser that the TV set sits on (and quite high). Very awkward to handle remote, change channels, plus the selection of channels is mostly for infomercials and children's channels.

Great option, safe for our trips to visit our family and friends. Wish the pool would open earlier for the kids to enjoy prior to checkout.

Room was nice but was accidentally charged twice for my room and it took until after check out to get my money back!!

This location is a typical Best Western but a little classier than I expected it to be given its small town location. Second floor rooms via elevator which I much preferred than having to use stairs to a second floor (and I've stayed in motels without elevators. Room, bed, furnishings very comfortable, cozy, private. 50" flat panel TV with DirecTV and all my favorite channels. This was a surprise to find DirecTV instead of just free streaming apps. What I didn't like is that it was time-consuming to figure out HOW to use the heat/cooling under-window appliance. No instructions to reveal that this unit operates in conjunction with a wall-mounted controller. Also, it was necessary for me to reset the cable box ON the TV set in order to retrieve the DirecTV on-screen guide. Overall a very comfortable and clean room.
