Great stay- fun pool!
The hotel was super busy for our stay, but they did a great job keeping up with it. They were apologetic about getting towels out slowly, but we got everything we needed. The pool was nice, breakfast was great. The layout of the room was awkward, but we made it work. The room has a newer thermostat and it wouldn't get cold in the room even though the AC ran constantly. The lights were all very bright. It woke everyone up when someone had to use the restroom.

I will no longer be using Marriott, these last two years with this company have been awful. I officially transferred to Hilton properties for my hotel stays.
As well, this is my second time staying at this location in San Angelo. In both times, the front staff are not friendly.
This last time, I stayed in San Angelo the woman at the front desk did not acknowledge me, at my arrival time. She waited until she finished talking to the man in front of me. It was awhile, even when the man walked away to get a snack. I was just standing there and staring at her for some response. After awhile, she finally said something. It really made feeling uncomfortable from the start. I hope it wasn't because I was a woman, and not a man.
The second staff member that I did not have a friendly experience was the next morning at 5 am. I was coming from the gym (at a different location). My father was asking the individual upfront about breakfast. He was very rude and condescending. It was a simple question about the breakfast.
I will no longer be staying at any Marriott. They have really lost their hospitality standards. I travel a lot to many cities and small towns. They have really downgraded.
The only staff members who were really nice and had great hospitality standards were the cleaning crew and the breakfast crew (cleaning and cooks).
