This hotel seemed to think of everything others don’t. There was tampons and pads for free in the women’s public bathroom. Restaurant style biscuits and gravy with real sausage for breakfast. Only reason they lost one star was it seemed the hot tub needed to be cleaned up, but I’m sure that’s an easy fix. Check in and check out was a breeze. I will look for this hotel on my next trip to Ottawa.

Cracked floor
The positives was our room was fairly clean and the staff was wonderful. The negatives was the tile in the bathroom floor was cracked. When you stood by the toilet the floor made noises and felt like it was going to fall thru. When I took a shower the shower felt the same way. They advertised having a hot tub. The hot tub was cold and had bugs in it. It looked as though it had not worked for a long time.

Location: easy on/off to highway, easy to find, easy in/out,
Quiet: parking lot pretty full and barely heard anything inside the hotel(or from outside either)
Everyone I dealt with was pretty decent and accommodating. Most of my complaints were not their fault, and they did their best to fix it. Disappointed the manager wasn’t there.
Didn’t like:
During a four night stay I had to move three times.
Room#1 stunk of smoke. Changed rooms before unloading the cart.
Room#2 was not the Double King I had reserved, in fact I think it was a full, not even a queen size bed—and extremely uncomfortable. Didn’t realize how much until I was sore the next two mornings.
Room#3 looked to be a double king size, (well laid out as the others were too), but the door when leaving had to be slammed shut or it would not lock and pop open. When entering, trying to deadbolt it required almost weightlifter strength—I showed this to the front desk guy and his reply was that the top lock worked and no one would get in. I politely told him don’t ever tell a woman traveling alone one lock is enough. There was a problem with the fridge (mini), once discovered it was taken care of quickly and easily.
Overall, not quite the relaxing restful stay I was hoping for—though the nice clean pool helped a lot—and it could use some updates, I still would consider it a contender next trip to Ottawa/Starved Rock.

Room was clean so was hotel the bathroom flooring moved up and down popping when u walked on it and the hottub was greenish and jeta barely worked pool was heated had kind of a sulpher smell though. Breakfast was good and overall for the pricea decent stay staff was very helpfull and friendly i would recomend to stay there

The staff was nice, but the property itself is very rundown, front lobby smelled like cigarettes and wallpaper peeling off the walls. Ceiling tiles look like they had water damage and then the cleaning crew didn’t really clean the rooms very well. They left used soap in the shower and there was food underneath the Nightstand. For as much as it was, you would expect it to be a little nicer and cleaner

The pictures make this hotel look WAY nicer. The room was dingy. There is mold in each corner of the bathroom celing. The fridge was not cold nor could we get it cold. The hot tub was working but the water was icky. You couldnt see feet at the second step - super cloudy/dirty water. We would not stay here again.

Could not get a door key/card until next morning after arrival. Their caard machine was broken. TV did not work in the room we were assigned. Had to move to another room.
We didn't have a good feeling about the hotel after the two issues mentioned.
