The room had a old smell. Shower was old and dated. The elevator was not working great. The hotel could use an updated.

Helpful front desk. New TV system without an accurate channel guide on the desk or on the device itself. See through curtain in the first floor room making the room quite dark during the day.

There were several what appeared to be homeless people sitting outside on the bench, and when I was walking in to take my personal items into my room, they were harassing me

Please always tell a staff member if you feel someone is on our property and should not be. Our staff members are trained to deal with these situations. We do hope you will give us a try in the future.

Things we liked: there were lots of food options for the complimentary breakfast, within walking distance of Rooster's (good food), fast and easy check in and check out, swimming pool was fun, too.

Hotel was fine. Nothing special. Breakfast was a little better than I expected. But the amount of highway/road noise you get at night makes it nearly impossible to sleep. Rooms are poorly lit.

Nice stay.
Very nice stay. Room was spacious and clean. Great place to relax in between visits to kings island. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay again!

Quick Overnight Stay
I have had a good experience. Check in was efficient. The room was spacious and quiet. The water heated up quickly. Water pressure was strong. I like the way they have soap dispensers now (and shampoo, conditioner and lotion dispensers) as opposed to soap bars which get single occupant uses and then thrown away before the next guest.
This room does have ceramic floor tile that have popped loose near the water closet that must be fixed. Also a general comment, Holiday Inn Express’s do not have a fan in the bathrooms, rather only a vent. A running shower steams up the mirror immediately so it constantly needs to be wiped after a shower. The sink faucet is too close to the mirror so the mirror gets bumped sometimes when turning the faucet on/off.

Great spot to stop and recharge
Breakfast was great lots of hot options only complaint would be that the only fruit option was a banana. Beds and pillows were great. Pool was small but we had it to ourselves.
