We were told when we arrived that this hotel was no longer operating as a Holiday Inn and was not accepting guests. IHG did, however, accept the reservation and confirm the booking.

BEWARE, THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED TO PUBLIC STAYS! IHG accepted and confirmed a reservation for this hotel, but when we rolled up in the taxi we discovered it had been closed for three years, and was being used as a shelter for illegal immigrants. IHG and Holiday Inns is still showing this hotel as available on their web sites, as of this writing! Good thing the taxi driver smelled a rat, and waited while we checked things out, then drove us around Ashford until we found a hotel that would take us immediately for 3 nights!

It started with the circle doors broken at the entrance and the lift out of order, anyone with a disability would have had to take the stairs. With the negative Manager receptionist saying we couldn't check in yet but didn't offer us to store room for our bags-so we had to ask. Also asked to make sure it was a room away from any noise or events, yes we were on the first floor with no disruption, the Manager said. Got to our room and it was part of the rest of renovation on that floor but ours had not yet been done? As we could see and smell of tobacco and old socks, opened for the windows dead spiders and cobwebs dropped from them. There was no phone, electrics did not work, the draws fell apart and air-conditioning leaked. Then after a long day walking around Ashford's town and looking for a lovely nights sleep , we could also see we were lied too as there were a few events going on and we were directly above them .We asked soo many times why would you put us in a room when already said we wanted a room away from any noise. The Manager did not help at all and that goes for all our requests? Let me spare from the breakfast as well, a baby could have made a better meal. We were meant to have stayed another night but decided not too. Please go and spend your money on another Hotel and don't waste it on this one!

I just had to write this here to acknowledge and to thank one of the staffs who attended to me working here. I'm curently going through a hard time; hubby in ITU(on life support) and in the midst of it all we had an issue with the flooring at home so i had to move out of the house with two toddlers. The insurance company allocated this hotel for us. Not ideal place for a family with two lil ones but then it was the only option we had. Maria, one of the waitress in the restaurant made life so much easy for us even without knowing what i was going through. She suggested during our breakfast to bring my breakfast upstairs in tray for me as i never had the time to eat after feeding the kids(breakfast ends at 10am). At some point she called the room to check if we wanted breakfast as she had not seen us downstairs before ten and offered again to bring it upstairs for us. That day i got back to the hotel from the hospital 1am in the morning after visiting hubby, we were all exhausted. The kids woke up very late and i had to rush to get them prepared to go have breakfast but as God will have it Maria called in on time offering to bring it upstairs for us which she did. The receptionist, can't remember his name(chubby, average height and blonde guy) was not nice at all, kept questioning me during our stay, restricted us from eating in certain areas in the restaurant but wasn't bold enough to ask others to do the same. I also asked one of the staff the day Maria was off to please help me bring my tray upstairs after feeding the kids their breakfast as i had to go to church and later to the hospital but they bluntly refused that they can't, supposedly they're short staffed. In the midst of this difficult time for us, i must say Maria gave me hope that good things still happen and they're good people out there. The room service ladies were very polite, kind and lovely as well. Overall if i would visit this hotel again, hopefully in a different circumstances, would be because of her and how professional and genuinely kind she was to us in such a hard time. Thank you.

We were looked after in the bar by by Kyle and a lovely lady who just couldn't do enough for us.They were so welcoming after such a long journey.James at breakfast again gave such a warm welcome and explained all the breakfast to us.They were all so helpful with regards to the travel chaos caused by the ferries. I would certainly stay here again and would fully recommend whereas other IHG hotels seem very mean since the lockdown the hotel staff here were excellent! Well done to them all at Ashford Central.

It was a perfect place for us to stay while exploring lovely Kent. Everything we wanted to see was 30min drive away. Easy access to M20 makes traveling very easy. The hotel staff was friendly and free parking is a bonus. Breakfast had a good selection and the rooms were spacious.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Received a 95 pound parking ticket on the last day of our stay, even though the car was registered at the front desk and we were still guests. Management was completely uncooperative and claims they are not responsible for tickets in their parking lot even though they offer free parking and the lot is connected to their building. Booked on 2nd March for 2nd December looked on their web site to see what meals there is there then found out hotel is closed phoned the hotel only to be told it is closed until July 24 no emails no phone calls would have travele d 300 miles to this hotel
