Check in at 4 pm. Front desk said that was standard in all BW facilities. Checked with BW Customer service and found that was a lie. If one wanted an earlier check in it was an extra $30.
Overall, the feeling was financially desperate. A lot of little things said the owner/ franchisee was nickel and dimeing it.
Duncan needs competition. At the least the owner and management of this hotel need to check into the BW Northgate in Nanaimo to see what a quality experience looks like.
I don't think I will return to this location ecen though i am a loyal BW customer.
The lack of consistency between BW locations is very apparent in this location.

Nice place in general, just didn't like the person in the reception, as she denied to print the receipt for me.

Would not allow early check in, Bizarre but fine. Could hear the lounge/karaoke in our room, just put the TV on. Went for breakfast at 9:15, as it ended at 9:30 which is early for a weekend continental, in my opinion. When arrived, I find that the limited amount of food was being cleared already. myself and another guest had to ask for the server to leave until we could get our food. stale cookies, broken toaster a few apples for fruit, multi coloured scrambled eggs, unappealing warm sandwich meat slices, dried up hash browns. Had staff carpet cleaning outside our door early morning. Just an overall unpleasant experience. Not sure I would stay there again, other than for the convenience. Priced for too high for the standard of the room, beakfast, etc.
