OK, but not up to usual standards.

The clerk at check-in was nice enough, but not what I would call customer-service-oriented. He did not seem very knowledgeable about the area and seemed more concerned with his personal life than our stay/questions.

Usually, we find Hampton Inns a "cut above" other similar hotels, but this one was a little disappointing. The lobby area and breakfast area were nice and clean. I appreciated the ice water and cookies at the front desk. However, once we started heading to our room, the hotel took on a different feel. The carpet in the hallway showed visible dirt (or mud that they had tried to clean, but had turned the carpet brown) and the rooms' doors had streaks/marks. Everything was gray, so it just seemed a little bleak. Our room was OK ~ clean with attempts at updates, but it felt a little musty and more cramped than other Hampton Inns I've stayed at.

I had to switch rooms after unpacking & then discovering my original room did not have blackout shades, just the light somewhat see through shade. The lights outside would've definitely disrupted sleep. Staff was accommodating and found another room for me close by. I also had repeated issues connecting to the WiFi on my phone (laptop was fine). I think a mat in the tub would be good to prevent slipping. Otherwise, it was a good experience. Appreciated the breakfast.

Was not informed that room is only serviced upon request during check-in. Had no towels so went to the front desk to get towels and they were out. Also breakfast was very mediocre. Potato’s were half cooked and raw. Did not bother eating it the second day of the stay.

Overall good but some areas not so much.

Window covers were torn

air controls on wall didnt do anything

Vent in bathroom covered in dust

Toilet seat halfway secured basically broken off

Shower tract dirty and globs of hair in drain

Both elevators certification were expired

Breakfast was good and staff were courteous
