The hotel was under renovation. The hot water wasn’t hot until my third day. Lukewarm showers are not the way I like to begin my day…😳

We have been working on our renovation, which involves shutting water off at times to install new tubs and showers. Lots of construction, barely any parking. I almost got hit by construction vehicle. Had white powder all over my newly washed vehicle from the construction. Also my kids were playing at 6pm. We got told that the person below us was trying to sleep. Quiet hour is not until 11 pm.

Not good
Upon checkin we first received room 423 ...
I was advise that this is a recently remodel floor.
Room was not vacuumed, public hair on toilet. Bath tub was dirty...and a slew of other issues. Front desk was notified.
I later got moved to room 408.
This room has group all over unfinished work, bathroom has public hair and tub drain missing parts...does nor drain as drain stop valve was missing. Several area again has grout and glue and also missing parts...counters has glue from install. Room was not final clean. Main entrance security lock or dead bolt doesn't work.

This property was not up to the usual Springhill Suites standard we have come to know and expect. The place was old, cramped, stopped up toilet, and terrible breakfast. I wonder how this one slipped in as a Springhill?? Not your best choice in that area.

Property is undergoing renovations. My refrigerator didn't work and they replaced it with a unit that was even less functional. Shower/bathtub didn't drain and resulted in standing in dirty water above your ankles. Bathroom door didn't latch/lock. A light bulb didn't work. One tissue in box. Toilet seat falling off. Toilet paper holder falling out of wall. To their credit the staff is very helpful and friendly. They're doing the best they can with the challenging property situation they're dealing with.

Room was old and dirty feeling. The power went out due to a storm and came back on with a burning smell in my room.
Front desk staff came to assess- agreed burning smell was noted. Offered to change my room.
New room felt icky as well. Bathtub water was stopped up and did not drain which was extra Icky!!
As I was preparing for checkout, the fire alarm went off and stopped and started a few times. I looked in the hallway for signs of smoke and housekeeping was walking by nonchalantly, continuing to work. Therefore, I believed it was a false alarm and took a few mins to pack up for check out. Upon checking out- I noted the fire department was there to investigate something- that was not communicated to me as a guest, who could have potentially been in danger!

The fire alarms, were false alarms, and we were quick to verify that there was no emergency, but were tardy on alerting our guests. The fire department has to come whenever the alarms are sounded. Regarding your other comments, we never want to be described as old and dingy.
