I had a two night stay and my room wasn't cleaned. I had to ask for clean towels. However, someone entered my room and rambled through my belongings while I was away from the hotel.
I informed the manager/owner about this incident and showed him pictures of how I had left my room and how I found the room upon my return.
I have had family members who always stay at this hotel numerous time during the year when they visit relatives in Roanok Rapids and they have never experienced this type of invasion of privacy.
The manager/owner said "he knew who had the key to the room, however, he didn't offer any consolation to this matter. I am very disappointed with this situation.

This was our 5th stay at this hotel within the last month. Only once was a room we stayed ever clean when we got there. This time we had to change the sheets ourselves. The sheets had hair all over them. There were not enough clean pillow cases to change those. There was hair in the tub, crumbs on the floor and coffee table, as well as sticky rings from cups on the coffee table. The smoke alarm was covered with a plastic bag. Two days prior when we stayed, we had this same room and brought it to the desk attention that there were ashes and cigarette smoke in the room and that the alarm was covered. We were told it would get a deep clean at our departure. Needless to say the room was in worse shape one day later. And we received no compensation. We will never stay here again. This is a consistently filthy hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone.

The stay was okay but definitely could have and should have been better. The young lady at the desk was not happy by me asking her about the reviews I had read. When I said something, she calmly suggested that if I didn't like the room I could checkout. No empathy or concern. When I was walking to room, I could see the carpet needed deep cleaning and the odor I attributed to this as well. I was happy with the room until I saw what appeared to be a dead spider splattered on the wall which I attributed AGAIN to insufficient cleaning. Everything else was good. The breakfast should have been served warmed but it was acceptable. Checkout I just left my keys and left. The location is great and I would consider staying there again.

The room was really dirty. Shower walls were brown (dirty). Floor was dirty. Killed a bug first thing when I walked in. Not going back. Was downstairs for breakfast at 6:30. Left at 6:45, no breakfast, nobody in sight to serve it either.
