I was in town for a customer presentation. One of the reasons that I chose this hotel was its location to the highway. Check-in was easy, and the team member was friendly & helpful. I was told that the facility was recently renovated. I was fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite. One room was a bit larger than the other. The suite contained a full sized refrigerator, a four-burner stove, and a small dining table. The suite had three televisions: one in each bedroom and one in the living room. Overall, the one-night stay was good. Unfortunately, I don't believe contractors addressed every item on their punchlist. The wall lamps in each room didn't have lightbulbs in them. Some wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. I let the staff know when I checked out.

Towneplace suites in Dayton, Ohio, was amazing! The room was awesome; clean and fully loaded with all the amenities - but what really made our stay was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Not just the obligatory politeness that is often seen, but these people went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Niecy offered to whip up a batch of waffle batter just for us when they ran out. Her caring attitude and infectious smile lit up the room! She is awesome! You can tell she loves her job and goes way out of her way to make your stay extraordinary! Konika and Zach were also incredibly helpful and friendly! Thank you so much!

Stay at another hotel - or at least stay away from Dustin Crawford when checking in. We are subcontractors for various companies and travel all over the country. This person did not honor one of the companies we work for who helps us when we travel into their areas!!

Major renovations taking place so very dusty and messy. And our room was over booked so we had to downgrade. Not ideal.

I booked this hotel at the last minute, as I was on my way to Detroit and some heavy traffic in both Louisville and Cincinnati slowed me down. I don't like to drive in the dark so I thought getting a room would be best! You cannot go wrong if you find yourself in Dayton and you stop at the TownePlace Suites Dayton North. Location is easy to find, though the traffic circle nearby seemed to be NEW and caused issues for my GPS. I found parking very easily and walked in to check-in. I was greeted warmly and welcomed to the hotel. Check-in was seamless and I got finished and took the luggage cart to my car to unload things. I had to be directed to the working elevator which I appreciated! My room was comfortable and the bed was very soft! The TV worked well ... welcoming me as a GOLD ELITE MEMBER. which, again, is appreciated!!! After getting unpacked I went back downstairs to grab a water, a soda and a snack and I encountered Erin, the Front Office Manager, who was apparently working the overnight shift. She was INCREDIBLY friendly and accommodating given I was encountering her at just after 2:00am. We had a brief conversation and she was ALL smiles and warmth. She really made me feel at home and that is something that doesn't always happen at every hotel I stay at! I think that Erin should most definitely be recognized by her leadership for going above and beyond. She did not have to be a friendly, smiling face at 2:00am but I am SO glad she was. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel ... and never have issues when I choose Marriott. Thank you to Erin and her team at the TownePlace Suites Dayton North!!!!

Friendly staff. Rooms were clean. Walking distance to several restaurants in the area. Close to the highway and airport. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast included was a bonus. This was our second stay at this hotel and I would stay there again.

I was on marriott points. I checked in and asked for an upgrade they indicated nothing available. The room was very small. I think they gave me the smallest room due to reservation on points. When we went to open the spare sheets/blankets for the sofa bed from the closet, there was a bug on the spare blanket, a small bug, looked like a bed bug after i googled but im no bed bug expert. I examined the actual bed and did not see anything else and the sheets were clean on the bed. I took the blanket to the front desk, they gave me another room, a larger room now. Went to the new room and examined the bed and spare sheets and one of the spare sheets was very very dirty. I asked for new sheets at the front desk and gave them the dirty sheet. The bed was very uncomfortable, kept sliding to the middle, not a king as reserved. Underneath the sofa mattress was dirty and very old, some holes. I checked in late and after all this, it was 1am. I was very tired. In the morning we were getting ready and the new room looked to have mold in the closet, they did clean it off after i told the front desk but it was black in the closet wall behind the shower wall. The night staff checking us in was very nice. They did give me some points back to my marriott but not enough in my opinion, due to a very late night and issues it was upsetting. The workers were nice and handled everything asap, due to the workers helping and being very nice it was hard to get upset at them, they were trying to make it right. The place was older, and the beds and furniture had alot of use. For the same price you can go to south Dayton, and get a newer hotel that is a lot nicer. We ended up at the springhill suites dayton south which did not have a kitchen but the rooms were very nice, newer and clean. A big difference of materials in towels, beds, pillows and bedding for the same points. I would not recommend the Towneplace Dayton north.
