Excellent stay at this place I would recommend it to people who travel to this area . It was clean and accommodating and a very nice place to stay in north Little Rock Arkansas . Walking distance to Starbucks near the hospital down the road . I would stay here again if my travels bring me here

The first thing that was a red flag for me, is being charge before actually getting to the hotel. I noticed the parking lot was empty once arrival, another red flag. Could not access the outside doors with the room key. Had to park in the back and walk around to the front. I was told my one of the employees that I could park on the side upfront. I moved my car and around 11:00 p get a phone call from the front office asking me to move my vehicle, but there where a red car parked there all evening. Not sure who is running this hotel, but I noticed people are living there and are workers as well. I did not rest well… I will never stay on property again! This hotel sucks!

This was hands down the worst holiday inn I have ever stepped foot in for seveal reasons. First of all I booked this hotel for my two young children and I, and paid in full in january through a third party (which is no reflection on the hotel itself but is part of the culmination of frustrations I was dealing with when I attempted to check in.) When the devastating tornado hit portions of LR days before we were set to arrive, I decided it would be good measure to call the hotel and see if we would still have a room to which I was reasured the tornado had not affected our ability to stay. Upon arrival (4 days after the tornado hit) there was no one at the front desk. After about 8 minutes a young lady finally walked out with a very bewildered look on her face, who was also not in a uniform so I was unsure if she was even an employee. Long story short, the red cross had the whole hotel overbooked since Saturday and the third party was supposed to send me an email (which I never received.) She explained that there might be an opening at 3pm (it was around 130p at this time) but she couldnt be sure so I politely asked for the manager to come down and after about 30 minutes of waiting I found out that he worked the overnight the night before and refused to come down from a hotel room that he was sleeping in and speak with us. Just to paint the picture I was now stuck there in the lobby after flying since 4am with 2 kids with out even a decent bathroom to use or freshen up in. There was no toilet paper, paper towel, soap, or even a drop of hand sanitizer in the whole downstairs. After sitting on the phone with the third party for that whole time they ended up finding us a beautiful accomodation at the holiday inn presidential near downtown which was a far cry from this cold DUMP.

I have never experienced such a disconnect between the reviews I see online and the actual physical condition of a hotel until I (attempted) to stay here a week ago. To summarize, I checked back out after 10 minutes which I have never done in my life. That’s how bad the property was. The biggest concern was the condition of the property. Craters in the parking lot, a third of the landscaping is brown and dead (in May) trash everywhere, the hallway carpets were stained and filthy. Worst of all, one of the upper story windows (2nd or 3rd floor) was broken. It had a round circular hole in the middle with cracks extending outward from it. To me it looked suspiciously like a bullet hole. Also, the door leading to the parking lot didn’t latch properly and we pulled it open without using our key. There were also only 3 cars in the entire parking lot. I guess the room looked ok at first glance but I was already so unsettled by everything else we saw that I didn’t look too closely. I quickly looked online and booked a room at another hotel for double the cost. The extra money was worth it to me for safety and peace of mind. I don’t know who the heck gave this hotel a 3 star rating. I would liken it to a one star motel instead. The only nice thing was the lobby which I guess they did for pictures. If I was IHG I would shut this property down until it can be completely overhauled. Also, they charged my credit card for the full 3 night stay even though their cancellation policy says I would be charged for only 1 night. It took 8 phone calls over 4 days to finally reach a manager who credited back everything.
